Abel is a minor character in the manga and anime series Attack on Titan. He was a member of the Survey Corps, being a part of the Fourth Squad and partook in the Survey Corps’ defiance against the Royal Government.
Appearance[]
Abel was a middle-aged man of average height. He had a short crop of scruffy blond hair with a thin beard that went up to his jawline. He had dark colored eyes and very thin eyebrows. Abel was noted for wearing the standard Survey Corps glasses, which were designed as square, thick-rimmed glasses that had bands strapped around his head to keep them from dislodging during combat.
He wore the standard Survey Corps uniform and green cloak during the expeditions, with a light black shirt underneath. In his free time, Abel wore a simple white button up shirt and black pants, while his glasses were now a more normal oval shape.
Personality[]
Abel appeared to be a loyal and dedicated soldier in the Survey Corps, always acting with great responsibility and followed his superior officers well. He was also shown to be very brave, as he charged headfirst towards a group of Titans while attempting to make himself a distraction. Abel shows a lot of commitment towards his occupation as a soldier, however, he seems to place this devotion only in his branch of the Survey Corps. When Marlowe Freudenberg asks for details about the Titan raid that took place in Stohess District, he was denounced by Abel. Not wanting to give a mere Military Police recruit details and even said to bring him a commanding officer, “If he was not drunk, of course”. Showing Abel’s contentment towards the Military Police.
