Abel is a supporting character in the adult animated musical dark comedy series Hazbin Hotel. He is the son of Adam and Eve, and the current leader of the Exorcists, having succeeded his father after his death.
He is voiced by Patrick Stump.
Personality[]
In contrast to his father, Abel is a friendly and outgoing person that doesn't desire any violence and bloodshed. He is very co-operative and supportive towards both his friends and superiors, Sera and Emily respecting any decisions they decide to make. Likewise, he was all the more willing to welcome Sir Pentious as a denizen of Heaven.
Despite showing signs of missing his father, Abel does not appear to harbor any resentment for the people of Hell over his death and is open to the idea of establishing peace with them. This makes him seen as soft and weak in comparison to his father by Lute, believing him to be nothing like him.
During the final battle, Abel finally developed confidence, and was able to stand up to Lute, putting her in her place as his lieutenant.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Little is known about Abel's early life other than being one of the children of Adam and Eve. At some point he died and he ascended to Heaven. It is believed that he was unfavored by his father and didn't have a particular good relationship with him, yearning for his affection.

Trivia[]
- Abel is based on the Biblical figure of the same name, who is the first murder victim of all mankind.
- According to Vivziepop, Abel is seen as an "innocent silly little guy" compared to Adam.
- For some reason, Abel's halo appears to be slightly damaged, possibly referring to how he was murdered by his older brother Cain by being hit in the head with a donkey jaw.
