Commander Abraham Tower is a major character in the Archie comics and spin-offs Sonic the Hedgehog.

He is an Overlander veteran of the Great War and the chief commander for the Guardian Units of the Nation, succeeding Commander Hugo Brass in 3237. During his time as chief commander, he has recruited Hope Kintobor and Shadow the Hedgehog into G.U.N, and after giving out a few missions for the latter, formed Team Dark with the pair along with Rouge the Bat and E-123 Omega for certain top level missions.

Appearance[]

Tower is a fifty-year-old man with a wrinkled face and gray hair. He has complete heterochromia, with a green left eye and a brown right eye. He wears a gray military uniform with gold and red pins on the shoulder straps and collar of his jacket. On the lower sleeves of his jacket and on his trousers, he has red and blue markings and a blue, red, and yellow chest band. Under the pencil of Tracy Yardley, Tower has a curvaceous face and body and a crooked, possibly broken nose.

Personality[]

The commander usually shows himself to be a gruff, stoic and almost inconsiderate military man, as he didn't even show concern for Shadow, who was said to be becoming one of his best agents. Hope Kintobor cared a lot about him, while Tower is always serious and never worried, but despite this Tower is a good-hearted man, as he cares a lot about his men and his kind. It is this soft side that made him want to recruit E-102 Gamma to G.U.N. and have it repaired for his services to the world. And he expects his best agents, Shadow and Rouge, to succeed in their intent without worrying about the seriousness that it would bring.

He acts like a grandfather to Hope Kintobor, perhaps due to the fact that she looks a lot like Maria, whom he deeply regretted not being able to protect.

Early Years[]

Born in the Overlander city of Mega Central, Tower later relocated with his parents, who were scientists, to Space Colony ARK, where he met and befriended Maria Robotnik. He also witnessed the creation of Shadow the Hedgehog, a horrifying experience for the young child.

Tower allows mobians as members of G.U.N., because they are joining the human population, and are worthy allies in the war against Dr. Eggman.
