What's up doc?
~ Ace's catchphrase.

Ace Bunny is the main protagonist of Loonatics Unleashed. He is the descendant of Bugs Bunny and the leader of the Loonatics. He also acts and talks just like Bugs Bunny.

Ace is clever, savvy, a born leader, who wears his uniform with yellow accents. Ace is the team's leader. He fights in close proximity of his enemies, using his martial arts skills more often than his laser vision. An adept martial artist and swords-hare; his sword, as revealed in the second season is a weapon from the planet Freleng (link to Friz Freleng) called the Guardian Strike Sword.

Ace loves to toy with his opponents like his ancestor did. However, in cases of someone who has the ability to a level where they could be a potential threat to him and his team dealing with them, he does so less. Like his ancestor, Ace possesses a Brooklyn accent and says his catchphrase (at least once): "What's up, doc?" and most fans believe Ace could be in love with one of his teammates Lexi Bunny because in episode twenty-one "It Came From Outer Space" he quickly took action on rescuing Lexi from Melvin The Martian.

He is voiced by Charlie Schlatter.

Biography[]

In "the Comet Cometh", Ace was shown as a stunt double for the films, before the meteor's impact on Acmetropolis Despite Ace's comments that he could be more than a stunt double, the director of the film saw nothing more and made him do his job taking hits for the actor.

Abilities and Weapons[]

  • Optical Enhancement: IR vision laser lock.
  • Laser Vision: Can shoot destructive laser blasts from his eyes.
  • Guardian Strike Sword: Ace's Primary weapon used for weapon-to-weapon combat, later is able generate powerful charges of energy.
  • Leadership Skills: As the team's de facto leader, Ace is skilled at leading the Loonatics in battle.

In other media[]

  • In the New Looney Tunes episode "One Carroter in Search of an Artist", Ace Bunny makes a brief appearance. Bugs Bunny attempts to get the artist of the cartoon to fix his appearance. After turning into his original premiere design, he begs the artist to change him into something more current and he turns into Ace, prompting Bugs to state, "Okay, now you're just messing with me".

Trivia[]

  • Ace Bunny was originally going to be named Buzz.
