Ace Yu is the hero of Dog City, the Muppet special that aired as part of episode 104 of The Jim Henson Hour. He was raised by Mr. and Mrs. Howe Yu and wears a pink bow in the Pickanese art of "Whyioughta".
He had a cameo in "The Secrets of the Muppets" at the OMD.
Biography[]
Ace arrived in the titular Dog City to take over his uncle's restaurant, the Dog House. However, he has to deal with the gangster group, Bugsy Them, who wants a cut of the Dog House's profits. Ace also meets and woos Colleen Barker, the wayward daughter of accountants. So Ace has to be top dog of the situation with using his wits to combat the tension in the conflict since he refuses to resort to violence.
Ace's plans for a halfway/quarterway/eighthway/fifteen-sixteenthsway house for orphans, are treated as running gags.
Ace learns that his uncle, Harry, was actually his long-lost father. However, he refuses to pursue vengeance.

Trivia[]
- The Ace Yu puppet was later reworked into Eliot Shag for the Dog City television series (the puppet was modified to have live hands instead of sticks). He was also the inspiration for Eliot's animated alter ego.
