Adalman is a supporting character of the anime, manga and light novel series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. He is an undead that was initially a member of the Five Fingers of Clayman known under the name of “Index Finger”. He later joined Rimuru’s side, became a member of his Twelve Guardian Lord and is also the current Guardian of the 70th floor of “The Dungeon”.
Appearance[]
As an undead, Adalman is a skinny skeleton that wears a golden grown on his skull and wears a religion robe. He has been stated to prefer his look as an undead, despite being able to reconstruct a body.
Personality[]
During his time as a member of Luminous Faith, he displayed deep faith in Luminous. This also helped hi to become the strongest practitioner of Holy Magic within the Luminous Faith. Nevertheless after changing his faith to Rimuru know as “Rimuruism”, his habit as a zealous follower made him even more powerful. Because of this Shion and Diablo have been showed to have sympathy to him in a good way of Rimuru’s iritation. He was also unconfident of his own abilities when performing his Holy Magic, especially because of him beig resurrected as a Wight King. This is especially because of his lost of faith in Luminous Faith therefore due the conspiracy that he assume that he can not have the talent to Holy Magic in a body of Wight Knight. However as the series progress he has been shown to no longer have struggles with Holy Magic. When he served Clayman, he was stated to hold hatred for the Curse Lord, mainly because of being assigned to work as a defender of his lord’s castle. He also displays appreciation for Shuna, as she convinced that his trust as well as giving him freedom alongside his allies from the curse of Demon Lord Kazalim that forced them to bound into the territory of Jistav. He would also later on refer Shuna as “dono”/”miss” then now refers her as “sama”/”lazy” in breaking his curse. Adalman became closes to the Rimuru and the Twelve Guardian Lords so much that he cannot be without them upon becoming a Wight King.

- Adalman gives a benediction to Rimuru whenever he makes an accomplishment or gains a victory.
- He is grateful to Shuna for teaching him holy magic is not limited to humans; even to an undead like Adalman himself, so long as he has faith.
- Adalman could have regained his human appearance upon his evolution; he chose to stay a skeleton as he had grown accustomed to his undead form.
- While Rimuru has allowed a church for the Luminous faith to be built in his city, Adalman refuses to be near it; though he tells Rimuru what he knows to help worshippers.
