~ Mayor Oswald when he first encountered the Adventurer. |
The unnamed Adventurer, also simply referred to as the Player, is the main protagonist of the Roblox game Adventure Story.
He is an unnamed adventurer whose identity and origins are unknown. He first appeared in Mapleburg in an unknown way, and when he learned that the town was in need of help, he embarked on a long and relentless adventure to save them.
Appearance[]
In the adventurer's standard appearance, he wears a light brown T-shirt, pants of the same color but a slightly darker shade, and has a dark brown bag on his back. However, since his clothing and appearance change depending on the items the player uses, he does not have a specific appearance throughout the story.
Personality[]
As seen throughout the story, the Adventurer is someone who likes to help people regardless of his own interests and despite the dangers he may face. No matter what the problem is, he does his best to fulfill the requests of the people he encounters and help them. Besides that, he also has a very curious personality. He has made discovering new places, solving mysteries behind secrets that no one knows, and finding hidden treasures a hobby.
Additionally, he has an opportunistic side. While not being too greedy, he will collect anything that will aid him in his adventures, such as rare special foods that come on sale, or Spectral Soda that only Dwellers carry.
Biography[]
After the adventurer appears in Mapleburg in an unknown way, he decides to talk to Mayor Oswald. Mayor Oswald is very happy to see him and asks if he can do something about the increasing number of bandits near the town. The adventurer accepts his request and starts to clear out the bandits on the Mapleburg Way.
After clearing out the bandits, the Adventurer returns to the Mayor. The Mayor tells him that the number of bandits has decreased a lot thanks to him and thanks him. Then he asks him if they need anything else, and Mayor Oswald says that his friend Doctor Thomas lives in Mellow Meadows and that he can go to him and ask if he needs help, and so the Adventurer sets off for Mellow Meadows.
When he arrives at Doctor Thomas's laboratory, Doctor Thomas is surprised to see the Adventurer and greets him, saying that he is the first human being he has seen in the last few days. The Adventurer asks why, and he says that weird one-eyed flowers have been appearing in Mellow Meadows lately, which is why people are afraid to travel here, and that he has moved here to investigate. Just as he is about to get back to work, he realizes that the Adventurer is "someone who's seen a lot of battles" and asks him to kill a few of those flowers for his research. The Adventurer accepts as usual and begins to fight the flowers.
Adventurer returns to Doctor Thomas after killing enough flowers, he tells the Adventurer that these monsters are coming from the Druid Grove. Doctor Thomas says that this is strange, because Druids are usually friendly people. He then tells the Adventurer to look into the Druid Grove if he wants to see what the Druids are up to. The Adventurer asks him where the Druid Grove is, and Doctor Thomas tells him that he can get there by using the Frogville Road, and the Adventurer sets off again.
Just as he is about to pass Frogville and enter the Frogville road, the guards at the entrance stop him. They tell him that there are dangerous monsters lurking around, and that no one can use the road without the Mayor Croakurt's permission. Thereupon, the Adventurer searches all over the town to find the Mayor, and finally finds him alone in a remote corner, by the lake. Although the mayor doesn't seem very happy to see him at first, he asks the Adventurer what he wants. When the Adventurer mentions the Frogville Road, Mayor Croakurt gets a little nervous, but after learning that he is an adventurer, he decides to tell him.
He explains to the adventurer that he was kidnapped by The Bandit King yesterday, and that he was threatened that no one should use the road, otherwise they would kill everyone who used the road and raid the town. Mayor Croakurt then tells the Adventurer that he has faith in him, and will let him use the road if he defeats the Bandit King for them. Adventurer accepts, and just as he is about to leave, Mayor Croakurt tells him that the Bandit King's hideout is in the Hidden Woods, and wishes him luck as he leaves.
When he enters the Hidden Woods, he encounters a lot of Bandits and Burglars on his way. Although this is his first time encountering Burglars, he manages to defeat all the enemies he encounters, including them, and reach the Bandit King. Although the Adventurer has never encountered the Bandit King before, the Bandit King tells him that "they were expecting him", and blocking the road to Frogville is just a small part of their plan. Although he gets confused, the Adventurer starts fighting him without caring how he knew him. And after a long battle, despite all his disadvantages, the Adventurer manages to defeat the Bandit King. (Non-Canon Extra: If the Adventurer visits the Bandit King again after defeating him, the Bandit King will break the 4th wall for a brief moment and tell him that he has made himself a target for his "Boss", and that will not stop him from crushing him.)
After defeating the Bandit King, the Adventurer returns to Mayor Croakurt. The Mayor first congratulates him, then asks if he wants to use the Frogville Road to investigate the Druids. The Adventurer asks how he knew this, and he explains that the Druids have been acting strangely lately, coming out of their Grove and randomly attacking people using the road. He then says he can use the road now, and wish him luck on his adventure, and bid him farewell.
After somehow dodging the monsters on the way, the Adventurer arrives at the Druid Grove and unexpectedly encounters a young Druid named Abby who is not acting strangely. When Abby first sees him, she tries to dismiss him since he's an outsider, saying that nothing there concerns him. When the Adventurer says he wants to help, Abby asks who he is, and if he's some kind of "wanna-be hero", to which the Adventurer simply says yes. Abby tells the Adventurer that if he really wants to help, he should listen to her orders, and the Adventurer, as always, says yes without any hassle. Then she says that she is not a full Druid yet, and that she was an apprentice in the Grove. But one day, a dark figure suddenly appears and casts everyone under some sort of a spell. She then tells him that when this happened, more powerful Druids had sealed themselves in the other half of the Grove, and that he needed to find a key to get there. The Adventurer then leaves Abby to fight the Druids, and she says that she will be waiting for him.
After fighting several Druids and finding the key, the Adventurer goes to the entrance of the Grove to meet Abby. When he arrives, She tells him that the other side of the Grove is worse than she thought, and that there is a giant monster inside that is out of control. Abby decides to help him fight the monster, as she thinks it's too dangerous to fight alone, and so the two head to the other side of the Grove. As the duo approached the giant monster (which was called Bedrock), It threw a rock at them, and thus began their battle. Despite their difficulties, the duo managed to knock down Bedrock and his minions, thus saving the Grove from destruction. The Adventurer, who also saw that it had dropped a magical stone, took it with him and used it to help him on his adventure.
After defeating Bedrock, Abby realizes that the Druids are still under mind control, and suggests that they have to find and defeat the person behind the spell to save them. The Adventurer asks where they can find him, and after a moment of thought, Abby suggests looking to Ratzo Rocks. She then tells the Adventurer about the Sandlord, saying that he is her best guess since he is an evil wizard who's in a conflict with the people of Ratzo Rocks for a couple of weeks. And so, the two set off to save the Druids and bring peace to the towns.
Note: Since the game has currently been abandoned by the developers, it is not yet known what will happen next in the story, and Ratzo Rocks will most likely never be added to the game.

Trivia[]
- Since he is addressed as a separate person throughout the game, it is thought that the "Adventurer" is a separate character that the players play.
- The Adventurer is technically the strongest character in the game. Apart from his own, he has the powers and abilities of all the characters in the game, and due to his constant strengthening, he leaves most enemies behind in a short time.
- Although the Adventurer's gender is not directly stated in the game, it can be inferred that he is male, as Abby says "That was an intense battle, Man." when speaking to him.
- The Adventurer's age is unknown and is not mentioned anywhere in the game. However, due to Mayor Oswald calling him "Youngling" and still allowing him to fight the bandits, it is estimated that he is neither too young nor too old. Most fans believe him to be in his early to mid-twenties.
