Aero the Acro-Bat is the main hero in the Aero the Acro-Bat video game series.

Overview[]

Aero is an acrobatic bat who works at The World of Amusement Circus and has to defend it from the evil Edgar Ektor; a former clown out for revenge. Although he is pretty heroic, Aero does a rather morally questionable thing at the end of the first game.

Biography[]

Aero the Acro-Bat[]

The evil industrialist Edgar Ektor takes over The World of Amusement Circus and Fun Park with the help of his Psycho Circus Gang and Zero the Acrobat. It is up to the circus's star performer Aero to defeat Edgar and free the circus from his clutches.

Aero the Acro-Bat 2[]

After his victory against Edgar Ektor atop the Museum of Horrors, Aero finds a magical box that sends him away to an ancient castle. Meanwhile, Edgar is saved from falling off the museum by Zero and tells him to prepare for his backup plan.

Gameplay[]

In the first game, Aero needs to achieve different objectives the proceed through the game. There are five acts in each of the game's four worlds and only by completing the objectives given to Aero can he make a warp portal to next act appear. Aero can defeat enemies by using his drill attack or by throwing stars he can collect during an act. Collecting certain items can also give him temporary flight, invincibility and regain health. Contact with an enemy can reduce Aero's health by one, but touching fire or spikes can make him instantly lose a life.

In the sequel, Aero proceeds through the game by finding the goal in each level of its eight worlds. There are not any objectives to complete like the previous game to make the goal appear and Aero can collect letters that spell "AERO" in each level to unlock a mini-game.
