Aguri Yukimura is one of the two overarching protagonists (alongside Korosensei) of the manga/anime series Assassination Classroom. She is the late older sister of Akari Yukimura, the love interest of Korosensei (formerly known as The Reaper), and the former teacher of Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Junior High School.
She was assigned to be the caretaker of the master assassin known as the Reaper, with the two eventually forming a strong bond. She was later tragically killed during the Reaper's escape, but her influence on him eventually led to him taking over her position as the teacher for Class 3-E, so he could honor her legacy.
She is voiced by Ayako Kawasumi (who also voiced Saber from Fate/stay night) in Japanese and Whitney Rodgers in English.
Appearance[]
Aguri was a beautiful young woman with short brown hair that has bangs swept to the left side while framing her face, brown eyes, and a petite frame on her body, save for her large bust.
She usually wears pink shirt, covered with a white lab coat, although she tends to have an unusual fashion sense, as mentioned by the Reaper and many other people, including her students from Class 3-E.
Personality[]
Aguri's personality can be described as inviting and friendly as well as caring and calm and collected ebullient nature reflects her love for students and teaching.Teachers with all-class knowledge including Class-3 E are competent and intelligent as all subjects can be taught by Aguri even if Chemistry is her focus. Teaching, as well as all other activities of Aguri, have involved much effort because of pressure from her fiancé Shiro, for whom Aguri was essentially coerced into becoming a lab assistant and working all night.
Aguri's high level of empathy towards others is also indicative of her ability to observe others closely. When Reaper originally asked Aguri what the reason for the betrayal was, she intelligently suggested that the reason might be the apprentice wanting to be recognised for being his disciple. This prediction turned out to be tragically correct.
Aguri demonstrated her kindness towards her pupils by going even to the extent of visiting former pupil Karma Akabane during his suspension for the purpose of checking on him. Humourously, Aguri has a poor fashion sense that many find shocking. Despite all this, those who knew Aguri respect her greatly for what she contributed to their lives and continue to remember her long after her passing.
