Ai is a hanyō, and a protagonist from the film Inuyasha: Fire on the Mystic Island.
Ai was voiced by Emi Motoi in the Japanese version, and by Nicole Bouma in the English version.
Biography[]
Ai lived with her friends on a magical island off the coast of Japan. In order to protect humans, benign demons and half-demons from the outside world, this island was hidden. But one day, four powerful, evil yōkai have conquered them, and almost all villagers have been killed.
At the time of the plot, Ai can flee from the island. But on the beach she meets Inuyasha and asks him to help her friends. Together with his friends and Ai, he returns to the island to fight the yōkai there.
After these yōkai are defeated, Ai leaves with her friends again the island, in order to lead deep in the mountains, a life in peace and harmony.
