As the youngest member of the Ace Hunters and the Serious Handler's partner, Aiden (Japanese エイデン) is sometimes referred to as the Ace Cadet (Japanese 筆頭ルーキー) or Excitable A-Lister (Japanese 陽気な㎨薦組). He currently serves with the Research Commission's Fifth Fleet, just like her.
Biography[]
Aiden lost both of his parents when his community was overtaken by monsters when he was seven years old. He would make fun of monster names as a way to deal with his fear of them. One day, while looking for Velociprey, Aiden would run into Julius. Julius would tell Aiden and the tribe that their town was in the way of a Lunastra that was making its way to the New World. The locals believed Julius was lying, so they would not flee for safety. Julius would take Aiden to check if the Lunastra was indeed on her way to their settlement. Aiden would persuade Julius to battle the Lunastra rather than leave the village after he saw it. In order to protect the hamlet, Aiden, Nadia, Julius, Mae, Nox, and Ravi would fight the Lunastra together. They erected a memorial for Ravi and Mae the next day; both of them lost their lives in the defense. As Julius and Nadia depart, Aiden asserts that if he wants to stop the world's greater threats, he should become an Ace Hunter. Julius accepts this and makes him his cadet.
During Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate's last village mission, Aiden was one of the few hunters who assisted the player in fending off the Rusted Kushala Daora.
The Research Commission recruited Aiden, one of the first hunters to volunteer to join the Fifth Fleet for the New World expedition, to pursue Zorah Magdaros and the rest of the fleet in order to find the Elder Crossing's secret. He had numerous special assignments with the Ace Hunters in the Old World prior to joining the Research Commission's expedition to the New World, giving him more experience than the majority of the commission's hunters. However, he is still plagued by regrets from his time with the Ace Hunters. As an inexperienced member of the Ace Hunters, he put his team in danger and almost killed them because of his carelessness. His past transgressions now drive him to improve and advance in the New World with the commission so he doesn't put his new team's lives in jeopardy. Another factor that drives him to become a better hunter is his mentor, Julius. Before the game's multiplayer is unlocked, Aiden assists the player with the Fatalis special task.
