Aila was a supporting major character in the 2020 Open-world Fantasy roleplaying game Genshin Impact. She was the first Moonchanter of the Frostmoon Scions, the Druids of the Nod-Krai who reforms and revises the Hyperborean rites. She was one of the grandchildrens adopted by Lovia, and the sister of Alia. She murdered her grandmother, Lovia for her crimes, lies, and blasphemy, as well as for avenging her deceased sister, Alia, due to Lovia's involvement with Rauthvangi, the Mad Monk. According to the legend, she was the original wielder of the divine sword, "Moonweaver's Dawn". She carved the Idol of the New Moon, based on Kuutar's likeness for witnessing her original form.
History[]
Along with her twin sister, Alia, Aila were the twin childrens of the "lesser branch" of a bloodline of Lovia's Sister, mother of Reed Miller. They were adopted and raised by their grandmother, Lovia, the last Archpriestess of Hyperborea. The sisters were made a promise that they "Would fly together like the white birds in the vast sky". Aila's sister, Alia broke the promise when leaving for a faraway place alone. After that, Aila began to endure Lovia's abuse. Yet, she carried out every last one of her grandmother's commands & never defied her no matter how dreadful the punishments cloaked by her soft words. According to Lovia, Aila was destined to bear the heir of Elysium, as the replacement for Lovia's sister, and she wasn't allowed to marry the son of the outlander.
