'''Akebono''' (曙 "Daybreak"?) was the eighteenth of twenty-four [[Fubuki (Kantai Collection)|Fubuki]]-class destroyers, built for the Imperial Japanese Navy following World War I. When introduced into service, these ships were the most powerful destroyers in the world. They served as first-line destroyers through the 1930s, and remained formidable weapons systems well into the Pacific War.

==Appearance==
Akebono has purple eyes and very long purple hair in a side ponytail. She wears a hair flower and hair bell at the place where it is tied. She wear a school uniform in serafuku-style like the other 3. She also typically wears black legwear and loafers outside of her combat gear.

Her combat gear includes a backpack-like smokestack and tripod mast, with a boxy, twin-cannon turret held with both hands, and carried over a shoulder strap. Her shoes are armored, and she wears dual torpedo turrets on her thighs, like many in the Fubuki-class.
