Akira Oda is the titular main protagonist of My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero. He is a boy who found himself in another world alongside his classmates. Each of them are granted magical powers. Others were given amazing powers, whereas Akira only became an assassin. Unbeknowst to anyone even him unbeknownst, he possesses the strongest powers.

Akira is a teenage boy with black messy hair. He is shown to have black eyes with eyebags. As an adventurer, he wears a dark outfit with golden linings.

While Akira, at first, may seem distant or unapproachable, his actions shows otherwise as he has willingness to put others before himself, especially his friends, showcases his deep sense of loyalty and selflessness. Akira has a reserved nature and his selflessness, loyalty, and willingness to sacrifice for others.
