Akira Yuki is one of the two main protagonists (alongside Godzilla) of the 1994 Tokusatsu film Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla. He is a G-Force soldier who seeks revenge on Godzilla for causing his best friend Goro Gondo to die during the events of Godzilla vs. Biollante.

He is portrayed by Akira Emoto.

History[]

Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla[]

Hoping to attack Godzilla, Yuki camps out on Birth Island where he teams up with Miki Saegusa and M.O.G.U.E.R.A. pilots Lt. Koji Shinjo and Lt. Kiyoshi Sato. Much to his distaste, Little Godzilla also befriends him. Following a futile attempt by Yuki on Godzilla's life, Little Godzilla is imprisoned by SpaceGodzilla. In sympathy, Yuki briefly calls off his pursuit of Godzilla.

After being assigned pilot of M.O.G.U.E.R.A. by former superior Commander Takaki Aso, Yuki briefly neglects his post, along with Shinjo and Sato, to rescue Saegusa who has been kidnapped by the Yakuza (the Japanese mafia) to exploit her psychic control over Godzilla.

Upon launching M.O.G.U.E.R.A. against SpaceGodzilla, Yuki immediately abuses his command to instead attack Godzilla. This results in him being tied to a chair by Shinjo and Sato. When M.O.G.U.E.R.A. is losing against SpaceGodzilla, Yuki quickly regains self control and leads a successful campaign against the monster. After ensuring the safety of his copilots, Yuki rams what is left of M.O.G.U.E.R.A. into SpaceGodzilla to allow Godzilla to kill it, saving Fukuoka and freeing Little Godzilla.

After the battle, Yuki appears relieved of his obsession, admitting that Godzilla is a great creature, after all.

Yuki benefits from the friendships of Commander Takaki Aso and Goro Gondo's sister, Chinatsu Gondo, who both maintain respect for him.
