Alby is the leader of the Gladers and a supporting character in the book and film The Maze Runner.
He is portrayed by Aml Ameen.

The Maze Runner
Alby is the first Glader who meets Thomas. He explains him the rules and the proper functioning of the Glade. Then he introduces him to Chuck, who is going to install his hammock and talk to him about the Maze doors.
Alby is responsible for banishing Ben, a Runner who was stung by a Griever and attacked Thomas.
The next day, he leaves with Minho, the Keeper of the Runners, in the maze to retrace the path of Ben. However, Alby gets stung and he is stuck with Minho and Thomas when the doors of the maze are closing, locking them in. With the help of Minho, Thomas success to hide Alby in the vineyards for the night. The next morning, the three Gladers arrive in the Glade and Alby is taken to Jeff and Clint, the Med-jacks.
His condition worsens and he begins to heal thanks to a remedy given to Teresa (the only girl in the group who arrived the same day). Then his memories make him remember that Thomas worked for WCKD, which disappoints him deeply.
During the Grievers' attack on the Glade, Alby rescues Chuck from one of them and gets killed. His name is crossed out by Gally, who took command.
Alby's corpse is found in the WCKD lab next to Ben's, both under a sheet.
