Template:Anti-Hero Infobox Alex Russo is a teenage female wizard and the main protagonist and minor antagonist and anti-heroine in the Disney Channel original series Wizards of Waverly Place. Mostly in the series, she is labeled as the anti-hero and minor antagonist of the show.
She was portrayed by Selena Gomez, who also voiced Mavis Dracula and The Kid.
Appearance
Alex is a young woman with long brown hair and brown eyes and dresses very stylish clothes.
Personality
Alex is uncaring, obstinate, mean-spirited and roguish. She is fearless, which sometimes gets her into trouble. She impulsively uses magic no matter what the consequences are and is very work-shy, uses magic to get of doing hard work. She also does not take school very seriously as she has lackluster grades. She barely graduated high school have it not been for a piece of meteor that crushed into the school and destroyed the permanent records. She is can be mischievous and loves to pull pranks. Despite this, Alex is intelligent and clever. She is also has a good heart and very helpful but does not like anyone to know about. She is very loyal to her best friend Harper, as she told her she is a wizard due to feeling guilty of lying to her and helping her pass driving test. In the Wizards of Waverly Place special Alex vs. Alex, she thanks Harper for, unlike her family, accepting her for who she is. Alex is very artistic and compassionate. Alex is tomboy and does not girly things that much. She also demonstrates good leadership skills. She has the most realistic view of the world in her family.
