Alex Stowe is the main protagonist of the Unwanteds series. He is the Head Mage of Artime and is the twin brother of Alex. He was considered an Unwanted by the high priest Justine and was sent to be eliminated. After he found Artime, he wanted his brother to share it with him and wanted him there with him. Over the book series he is very determined and a good mage of Artime.

He is very determined as mentioned above, and responsible as shown in many instances. He shares a mental bond with his twin brother and wants them to be together. He is shown to be a very courageous person as he managed to save people from many situations like the 3 Japanese scientists that he me on the island of shipwrecks. He is a good leader and loves to do his best at things, as shown in his magical warrior training.
