Alfonso (アルベルト, Aruberuto?, Albert) is one of the supporting characters in the Japanese exclusive film, Animal Crossing: The Movie (Gekijōban Dōbutsu no Mori). He lives in Animal Village where Ai moved in. He is best friends with Yū.
He was voiced by Takatoshi Kaneko.
Personality[]
Alfonso is somewhat lively despite being a villager with a lazy personality, and he enjoys being with Yū every step of the way and he loves to spend time with him. He will join in on the mischief with Yū, including playing pranks on others, much to the frustration of Mr. Resetti.
Appearance[]
Alfonso is a yellow-orange alligator with a white jaw, cheeks, and underbelly. There are darker circles of orange on across his head and body. His eyes are drooping, making him appear sleepy.
Biography[]
Alfonso is first seen when Ai delivers 500 pies to him, after which Yū runs by chasing a butterfly to catch it. Alfonso becomes ecstatic over the bug catching contest and he went back into his house to get his net and follows suit. Later, they dig holes everywhere to find fossils by the beach, which Mr. Resetti lectures them about, and they find an ammonite. Rosie says she's seen many more of them somewhere else, which is a giant cave. Alfonso, Yū, Rosie, Ai, and Margie search for the fossils in a giant cave and came across a Seismosaurus fossil which Yū tries to excavate, but were forced to escape an occurring cave collapse.
During the Fireworks Festival, Alfonso is seen with Yū when Crazy Redd sells him a fake golden slingshot, though it is unknown if they ever found out that it was fake. After Margie moves out, Alfonso and Yū play tricks on the villagers with pitfalls, and Ai stumbles into one, but she is too depressed over Margie's sudden leave to react. At the Winter Festival, Alfonso helps find Gulliver's lost UFO parts.
