Hero Overview

I want to be able to remember, once the war is over... That it wasn't all just people killing people. That even in war, there was also new life.
~ Alicia Melchiott

Sgt. Alicia Melchiott is the deuteragonist and lead heroine of the video game Valkyria Chronicles. She is a 19 year old Squad 7 Scout, who hopes to someday soon become a baker, and Welkin Gunther's second-in-command, and eventual lover. She served as a team captain of the Bruhl Town Watch and joined the Militia after escaping Bruhl.

She is voiced by Marina Inoue in the Japanese version and Colleen O'Shaughnessy in the English version, the former of whom also voices Yoko Littner, Sora Takenouchi, and Rei Miyamoto.

Alicia is a young woman of average height with long, brown hair tied into two pigtails. She wears a red bandanna on her head, which she says is part of her outfit back at the bakery. She dons the standard militia apparel for female members of the Gallian Militia. In her Valkyrur form, her hair turns white and she emits a radiant blue aura.

When the squad is at the beach while on shore leave, Aiicia wears a white two-piece swimsuit while still having her long, brown hair tied into two pigtails.

Alicia Melchiott is a young woman who aspires to become a baker. She was the Captain of Bruhl's Town Watch during the Imperial Invasion of Gallia. After defending Bruhl with Welkin Gunther, she was assigned to Gallia's militia force in Welkin's Squad 7. Her role in the squad is a Scout.

Alicia is headstrong and independent. She is very self righteous and cares for others. On the surface, Alicia is very frustrated with Welkin, and she doesn't seem to understand his methods or motivation, but deep down she does care about him in a special way. Her honest ways seem to balance out the somewhat oblivious Welkin. Alicia is extremely reliable as a squad member and friend.

Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax

Alicia makes her appearance as an assist partner in Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax, along with her evil counterpart Selvaria Bles.

  • Alicia's personality in the anime differs considerably from that in the game. In the anime, she is more of a Tsundere, being easily angered and prone to misunderstandings.
