Alina Starkov is the main protagonist of the Grishaverse. She is the Sun Summoner, one of the most powerful Grisha to have ever lived and the only one with the capability of destroying the volcra and the Shadow Fold for good.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Alina was born in a settlement in Dva Stolba along the southern border with Shu Han, where she was raised for the early years of her childhood. Like Malyen Oretsev, Alina's parents was likely amongst the victims of the border wars. Following the deaths of her parents, Alina spent her childhood in Duke Keramsov's estate orphanage in Keramzin.
Personality[]
She is initially afraid of her powers, especially given how unique they are. But she starts to thrive when she learns to embrace them and is eager to learn more about her magical abilities. As she grows more powerful, Alina grapples with morality and the temptation of power at her disposal.
