Allen is a minor character in the Netflix animated series The Dragon Prince. He is a giant man who fought against the mercenary Tristan after he betted that he could defeat anyone, ironically since Tristan ended up being correct. Although he started off as another human who hated elves, he eventually falls in love with the Moonshadow Elf Lujanne and ends up becoming an ally of Team Zym.
He is voiced by Sam Vincent, who also voiced Lloyd Garmadon in Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitsu following the show's eight season, Edd in Ed, Edd n Eddy, Krypto in Krypto the Superdog, and Sonic the Hedgehog's singing voice in Sonic Underground.
Biography[]
Allen was a mercenary with large size and brute strength, having a giant sword that towered his opponents, and according him, had an even bigger one that he is never shown using. When Tristan betted money on being able to defeat anyone with just his dagger, which was actually a Sunforge blade that was able to cut through all sorts of metal and highly durable objects, Allen agreed to the challange.
However, he ended up being defeated by Tristan, leading to him leaving the scene crying. Later, when Tristan revealed to everyone in the town that Rayla was an elf, Allen took part in trying to hunt her down along with Callum and Ezran, although when the trio ran to the Cursed Caldera, everyone, including Allen, gave up since they thought they would end up dying there.
Several weeks later, when Lujanne was returning to the Moon Nexus disguised as a human, Allen ended up finding Lujanne, developing romantic feelings for her, and giving her a flower and later an even bigger one. The two would end up dating, and after Lujanne escaped the town due to a human discovering she was an elf, Allen would decide to help her in building wood structures for Lujanne to make her illusions seem solid so she could better scare off people from the Moon Nexus.
When Callum, Ezran, Rayla and Soren went to see Lujanne so they could be able to revive Phoe-Phoe, Lujanne used Allen's construction to put an illusion and scare the group before later having dinner with them. Allen later took part in the ceremony that allowed Phoe-Phoe to be revived. The next morning, Allen would spar with Soren, but during it, ended up being knocked on the ground by Rayla who sneaked up on them, before later leaving to talk with Soren.
Later, Rayla and Callum end up tricking Allen into helping them rebuild the portal to the realm between life and death in the Moon Nexus, claiming that it was meant to be a gift to Lujanne and that it would solidify the union between humans and elves. In truth, Rayla and Callum wanted to get to the realm between life and death so Rayla could see if her parents, Runaan and/or Viren were alive.
After the portal was finished, Rayla went to the realm and ended up with her body unconsious floating in the water. Lujanne sees this and stops Callum from taking Rayla off the water as doing so would cause her spirit to be stuck in the realm between life and death. However, Callum decided to enter the realm to save Rayla using one of Phoe-Phoe's feathers, with the two eventually escaping it.
Alongside the rest of the group, Allen helps in getting Rayla and Callum out of the water once they return to their bodies and leave the realm. Two years later, while he was giving Lujanne a massage, Allen hears Phoe-Phoe warning that someone was coming to the Nexus, with those two being Callum and Rayla. Once they reveal they want to free Rayla's loved ones from their cursed coins, Allen helps in preparing the portal between life and death so Rayla can get in and free her loved ones.
After Rayla ended up rescuing Runaan, Allen helped in taking care of him and his injuries during his time in the Moon Nexus. Several days later, Allen takes part in a plan to stop Claudia and Aaravos from breaking into the Moon Nexus and releasing the creatures in the realm between life and death where Lujanne would disguise herself as Claudia's mother Lissa to convince her to stop.
However, Claudia ends up seeing through the disguise due to Lissa looking the same as she did 15 years prior, and ends up stabbing Lujanne, nearly killing her. Allen, seeing this, tries to attack Claudia in a rage, but she casts a spell that paralyses him. Once the realm was open and the creatures in it freed, the spell ended, although both Claudia and Aaravos were able to get away.
Following Aaravos's defeat, Allen went to see the announcment of the creation of a city consisted of humans, elves, and dragons, with said city being named Evrkynd.
