The Allies, otherwise known as the Allied Forces or the Allied Nations are the main protagonists of the "Red Alert" series of the Command & Conquer franchise. They are a military alliance between the nations of Europe (mainly England, Germany, France, Greece, and Spain) during the Second World War. By the time of the Third World War its primary members were the United States of America, Germany, Great Britain, France, and Korea. It originally served as a unified military command of European armies. The Allies fought to protect the nations of Europe, and later, the world.

Their official emblem during Second World War is a golden triangle pointed downwards, with a stylized bird-of-prey. During the Third World War, the Allied emblem had changed into a silver-and-blue triangle pointed downwards, with a less stylized sliver bird-of-prey.

History[]

The Allies was formed in Red Alert 1 due to the Soviets invading Europe, as a result of Albert Einstein using his Chronosphere to go back in time and prevent the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Nazis in Germany, allowing Stalin to lead the Soviet Red Army in a massive invasion of Europe. However, the Allies are able to use Einstein's secret weapon, the Chronosphere, to fight back and crush the Red Menace. Stalin was killed during the battle from Stavros in revenge for Greece. Afterwards, concerned about the USSR's future should another warmonger like Stalin become Premier, the Allies decided to install a puppet leader in Alexander Romanov, a descendant of the last Tsar of Russia, Nicholas II, who appeared to advocate peace despite being a member of the Communist Party.

The Allies in Red Alert 2 united again due to the Soviets invading America and threatening Europe with nuclear missiles. This was after satellite intel noticed a large buildup of Soviet forces in Mexico, Soviet warships heading into the Atlantic, and Romanov's chief advisor Yuri having caused a breakdown in relations between the USA and USSR, especially after seeing U.S. operatives, such as CIA agents, collaborating with Soviet KGB agents, when Romanov initially made it look like the Soviets had turned over a new leaf with forming the World Socialist Alliance and dealing with Mexico themselves so the USA would not have to and make Mexico a Communist member of the WSA. When word from NORAD and the Pentagon comes that Romanov's forces are invading the USA from both coasts and the Mexican border now that Mexico was a part of the WSA, President Dugan tries negotiating with Romanov to recall his forces, but when Romanov refuses, Dugan orders nuclear retaliation, but Yuri sabotages the USA's Allied nuclear arsenal by mind controlling the USAF missileers in the Launch Control Centers for the missiles, causing the nukes to detonate in the still-sealed silos, preventing a nuclear retaliatory second strike. The United States was thus forced to fight a conventional war with the Soviets, with the Red Army making considerable advances, despite being blunted in their initial advances in New York City and Colorado Springs, including taking control of Washington, D.C. using a Psychic Beacon, though its destruction allowed the U.S. government to retreat to Canada to set up a government in exile. The Soviets then attempt to use a Psychic Amplifier in Chicago to take over the whole nation, only for its destruction by the Allies forcing Soviet General Vladimir to wipe Chicago off the map with a nuclear weapon in retaliation. However, that resulted in the European Allies offering to help the USA reclaim their land if the Soviet nukes in the Polish Soviet Socialist Republic were eliminated. Once they are captured or destroyed, forcing the Soviets to move the rest out of effective range to avoid losing them as well, costing them their blackmail against Europe, the European Allies join the fight against Romanov. With European support secured, especially with the aid of Professor Albert Einstein, the Allies take back Washington, D.C., prevent an attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, and liberate Saint Louis, Missouri.

After a hard fought war against the Premier, the USA took back its territory controlled by the Soviets and also dealt a considerable blow to Romanov's forces, including preventing an attempt by the Soviets to replicate the Allies' prism technology provided by Einstein at their lab in WSA-controlled Mexico, preventing an attack on Einstein's lab in the Black Forest in Germany, taking out Romanov's nuclear missile silos in Cuba, and using Einstein's Chronosphere to invade Moscow directly, bypassing any Soviet forces that would have blocked a conventional advance on the Russian capital on the ground, in the air, or by sea. Premier Romanov was captured by Tanya and Allied GIs and locked up in prison.

In Yuri's Revenge, they went back in time to stop Yuri from mind controlling the world, convincing the Soviets to ally with them to take down Yuri together as a joint coalition. It began sometime after the Allies won the war with the Soviet Union. President Dugan is called into an emergency meeting at the White House Situation Room as Lieutenant Eva reveals that Yuri and his Psychic Corps have set up a strange device on the captured Alcatraz Island in San Francisco. When Dugan asks what it is, Yuri intercepts the call to reveal that it is a Psychic Dominator, and he has deployed several around the world. When activated, they will brainwash the entire world to be totally under Yuri's command, Allies and Soviets alike. Dugan's attempts to negotiate and then threaten Yuri fall flat, and when the Dominator begins to deploy, Dugan orders an airstrike against it, but the Harriers are shot down piecemeal by Yuri's Gatling Cannon defenses, yet one cripples the nuclear reactor powering the Dominator, cutting power to it. Nevertheless, Yuri activates his remaining Dominators and successfully brainwashes most of the world. Using Einstein's prototype Time Machine, the Allies travel back in time to when the Dominator is still under construction, catching the Soviets by surprise, and not only stop the Soviet siege, but also destroy the Dominator before it can be finished. From there, the Allies deal with Yuri's forces in Los Angeles and Seattle before going after his second Psychic Dominator in Egypt, rescuing a captured Einstein, and using the rewired Dominator against Yuri's forces before it self-destructed. After taking out Yuri's attempts to clone world leaders in Sydney, Australia, Romanov agrees to a peace conference in London at the Houses of Parliament with the Allies to join forces against Yuri. Though Yuri tries to assault the conference and kill the Allied leaders alongside Dugan and Romanov, he fails, and Soviet naval forces join the Allies in taking out Yuri's London base. After Lieutenant Eva pinpoints Yuri in Antarctica, the Allied-Soviet coalition moves in to take Yuri out. After razing his base to the ground, including his final Psychic Dominator, the Genetic Mutator, and every last infantryman and armored vehicle in his arsenal, Yuri is captured and imprisoned in a specially-designed Psychic Isolation Chamber where his psychic powers will be neutralized for good. This causes the two timelines to merge, with the one created by the altering of the past taking precedence as the new present.

In Red Alert 3, thanks to the Soviets going back in time and eliminating Albert Einstein, changing the timeline drastically, they fought Japan, now known as the Empire of the Rising Sun, and the Soviets to stop them from conquering the world. The Allies briefly fought alongside the Soviets, but got betrayed by the Reds. This resulted when Colonel Anatoly Cherdenko used a Soviet Time Machine to travel back to kill Einstein. Without Einstein, nuclear technology was never developed, and Japan soon manifested as a major world superpower as they declared war on the Soviet Union and the Allies, declaring that both infidels to Japan's Divine Destiny will either surrender or be annihilated. The Allies lose most of mainland Europe to the USSR in short order, but after managing to defend Brighton Beach in the UK from assault by the Red Navy to establish a foothold in the last Allied country in Europe, the Allies rescue their commanders in Cannes, France, then take out the Soviet HQ in Heidelberg, Germany. When the Empire makes it move and blockades the shipping lanes with their Floating Fortresses, the Allies and Soviets form a temporary alliance to deal with the Floating Fortress blockading the Northern Atlantic shipping lanes and free the Mediterranean Sea after taking back Gibraltar. Once the Floating Fortress is destroyed, the Allies have to deal with U.S. President Howard Ackerman who, angered by the alliance with the Soviets, prepares a superweapon he hid inside Mount Rushmore to destroy Moscow. Though the weapon is stopped and Ackerman killed to preserve the alliance, it appears that Ackerman was right about not trusting the Reds when they leave the Allies high and dry during the final assault on Tokyo to take out the Empire's vital structures to cut off their war effort, and then recon from a defecting Dr. Gregor Zelinsky reveals that the Soviets are setting up a secret project in Havana, Cuba, revealed to be Kirov airships armed with 50-megaton bombs aimed for Allied cities. After the plan to launch the Kirovs from modified sports areas is stopped, the Allies prepare to launch their final assault on Leningrad, as Cherdenko has modified the Peter and Paul Fortress there into a Soviet space facility to launch a Soviet space shuttle with him aboard into space to escape the Allies, well-fortified by seven Iron Curtains scattered throughout Leningrad. Though he nearly escapes, the Allies stop him, destroy the launch facility in the fortress, and take him and General Nikolai Krukov into custody, imprisoning them in Allied cryo-prison for life. With the defeats of the Empire and USSR, the Allies had once more secured peace and emerged victorious.

In the non-canonical Soviet campaign, after the Soviets defeat the Empire and force them out of Soviet territory, learning of the United States preparing to send aid to help the European Allies, the Soviets strike first with attacking Geneva, before going after Mykonos to investigate the Allied research being done there. After that, with the Allies retreating to the Von Esling Airbase in Iceland, their last base in Europe, despite Premier Cherdenko ordering the death of General Krukov under surmise he ordered an assassination attempt on the Premier, the airbase is destroyed, and the Allies are forced out of Europe, with what's left of their forces retreating to the United States. To try and broken peace with the Soviets after the Soviets eliminate Emperor Yoshiro at Mt. Fuji and force the Empire into submission, Field Marshall Bingham arranges a peace summit at Easter Island. However, the Soviets had ulterior motives...

Allied Ambassador: Good afternoon, friend. Are you here to escort us to our meeting with the Premier?
Soviet Ambassador: I'm afraid not,
my friend. Comrades, attack now!
Allied Ambassador: What the-?! They double-crossed us! Open fire!
~ The Soviets show they are in no mood for peace with their enemies

Despite Bingham having anticipated the summit was a trap and being prepared for it, the Allies are swiftly routed, and what was left of Bingham's forces withdraw back to the United States for a last stand. When the Soviets make their move to attack New York City and destroy the Statue of Liberty, President Ackerman does everything he can to try and prevent the Soviets from winning, but his efforts are all in vain. Lady Liberty is destroyed, and the Soviets become supreme rulers of the world.

In the non-canonical Imperial campaign, after dealing several blows to the Soviets to cripple their morale, Emperor Yoshiro sends the Allies an ultimatum to either surrender or face annihilation at the hands of the Empire of the Rising Sun. Refusing to bow to his ultimatum, the Allies send an attack force to engage the Imperial forces defending Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, while also attempting to sneak a larger invasion force past to head directly for Tokyo, but first had to get past the Imperial Floating Fortress, the Black Tortoise. Despite trying to destroy the fortress' power cores, the Allies fail to topple the Black Tortoise, and once they are forced to retreat, the Black Tortoise heads to the United States Western Coast to help capture Los Angeles, Hollywood, and Santa Monica. Following that, the Allies decide their best option now to defeat the Empire was to team up with the Soviets and attack the Japanese home islands at Yokohama. However, the Empire is able to defend their territory and force the Allied-Soviet alliance to withdraw. Unable to take out the Empire, the alliance fractures, and the Allies soon have to make their last stand in Amsterdam, where the FutureTech HQ was located, being aided by the remaining Soviet Armed Forces under Dr. Zelinsky after the Empire attacked Moscow and destroyed the Soviet Time Machine to prevent them from altering history again. Despite having their full arsenal at their disposal, the Allies are unable to hold back the Imperial juggernaut, and Field Marshall Bingham perishes when the Empire demolishes his Allied VIP Bunker. Zelinsky launches an unknown superweapon that he had been working on that ravages Amsterdam, wiping out any Allied, Soviet, and Imperial forces still in the city, but the final last elite forces of the Empire still manage to destroy the FutureTech HQ, ensuring their ultimate triumph of becoming rulers of the planet.

In Uprising, they fought all over the world in both Russia and Japan itself and stopped the Empire of the Rising Sun from reforming, but Takara escaped capture due to Tatsu's betrayal. They also learned about Rupert Thornley trying to destroy the Soviets once and for all due to the Soviet underground exposing his plan and then pulled their troops out of Russia.

Military[]

The Allies were known for their disadvantage on land (Allied tanks are not as tough as their Soviet counterparts), advantage in the air (Disadvantage in Red Alert 1 because their air power is not good as the Soviets due to it only consisting of Apache helicopters) and advantage in the seas (In Red Alert 1 they got naval superiority but in Red Alert 2 their navy is rivaled by the Soviets and in Red Alert 3 their navy is weaker compared to their Rising Sun and Soviet counterparts).

In Red Alert 1, the Allies relied heavily on their navy due to the Soviets rule the skies and the land. The only tank they have during the first days of the conflict is the vastly inferior light tank which took a couple to take down a heavy tank. A breakthrough in technology gave the Allies the M1 Abrams medium tank which stood a much better chance but not equal to the heavy tank. On the seas the Allies have powerful destroyers and the extremely destructive cruiser which destroys anything from a safe distance. In the skies the Allies have Apache Longbows which can stand up to the Soviet Mammoth tanks and destroy V2s and the heavy tanks without fear of retaliation. The Allies infantry is stronger than the Soviet infantry thanks to their medic units. In Aftermath the Allies get the mechanic which repairs vehicles and the Chrono tank which is used to sneak into enemy bases and cause havoc.

In Red Alert 2, the Allies expand their air force with Rocketeers, Harriers and Black Eagle jets. The Allied Navy gain Aegis Cruisers which protects their fleets from enemy air and Destroyers which now uses an Ospery to defeat subs and the Aircraft Carrier, which replaces the cruisers, but the Soviets recently rivaled the Allies in naval powers. The Allies ground forces are still weaker than the Soviets ground forces due to their Grizzly Tanks relying on speed and numbers to defeat enemy armor. The Allies also got GIs which are unstoppable in large numbers and deployed.

In Yuri's Revenge, the Allies gain Battle Fortresses which can crush enemy tanks, Guardian GIs which becomes uncrushable when deployed and can destroy enemy air and armor with relative ease. In order to counter Yuri's mind control the Allies deployed Robot Tanks.

In Red Alert 3, the Allies gain a complete overhaul which allowed them to challenge the Soviets who still rule the land and the Imperials which took control of the seas. The Allies infantry are more stronger than the Soviet and Imperials infantry due to their Peacekeepers can defeat their counterparts one on one, the Javelins can easily destroy enemy armor and air with relative ease, the Engineers can deploy into medical tents to heal nearby infantry, the Spies can infiltrate enemy buildings (mostly to use against enemy refineries to steal cash) and bribe enemy units, and finally Tanya, who is a great soldier that can blow up anything on the land and in the seas. The Allies ground forces are still weaker than even the Imperial ground forces and the Soviets due to the Allies strongest vehicles (the amphibious Assault Destroyers and the stealthy Mirage Tanks) are still weaker than the Imperials' and the Soviets' strongest ground units (the Imperial King Oni and the Soviet Apocalypse Tanks). The Allies are even weaker in seapower due to the Allies strongest naval units (the Assault Destroyers and the Aircraft Carriers) are still weaker than both the Soviets' and the Empire's navies' strongest ships (the Soviet Akula Submarines, the Soviet Dreadnoughts, the Imperial Naginata Cruisers and the Imperial Shogun Battleships). In the skies, the Allies still rule the skies due to the Apollo Fighters being able to defeat their Imperial and Soviet counterparts (the Apollo Fighters can defeat the vastly inferior Jet Tengus and the somewhat inferior MiG Fighters) while the Vindicator and Cryo Copters provide close air support to the Allies ground and naval forces and the Century Bombers can level anything on the ground and the seas.

Technology[]

The Allies have a long history of being the leaders of next generation technology. Albert Einstein and later Futuretech are the whole reason the Allies used high technology to defeat the Soviets and later the Empire. Here is a list of technologies the Allies wield against their enemies:

  • Chrono technology
  • GAP technology
  • Optic camouflage
  • Air power
  • Sea power
  • Robotics
  • Cryo technology
  • Laser technology
  • GPS satellite technology
  • Space technology
  • SHRINK technology
  • Sonic technology
  • Proton technology
  • Spectrum technology
  • Prism technology
  • Weather manipulation technology
