No. I expect you to do what you always do. Make a joke, go on. I expect you to be just fine.
~ Allison to Dr. House after resigning.

Dr. Allison Cameron, M.D., was a major character on House, M.D. for the first six seasons. She was a member of Gregory House's diagnostic team during the first three seasons in the position of a fellow in Diagnostic Medicine.

She was qualified as a specialist in immunology. She was the youngest member of House's original diagnostic team and the only female member. After Cameron left House's diagnostic team, she returned in the season four premiere as the senior emergency room attending physician at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. At the end of Season 5, she married Robert Chase. However, in Season 6, Cameron leaves PPTH, House and Chase. She guest-starred once in the Season 6 episode Lockdown, where she returns to ask Chase to sign the divorce papers and finally settles the outstanding issues in their relationship. She is seen in the series finale Everybody Dies both as a hallucination telling House that it's okay for him to die to end his pain, and in real life at House's funeral.

She was portrayed by Jennifer Morrison, who also plays Emma Swan in Once Upon A Time.

History[]

An immunologist, and one of House's original fellows. Cameron is often at odds with House over patient care — she is more concerned about the patient, while House is more focused on the puzzle. Cameron is a widow, having married a man who she knew was dying of cancer when she was 21. She serves as a fellow during season 1-3 and the first few episodes of season 6. Starting in Season 4, she transfers from the Department of Diagnostic Medicine to the ER, working as a Senior Attending Physician.

In Season 6, she leaves the hospital and divorces Chase, having become disgusted with both him and House. She moves to Chicago and becomes the Dean of Emergency Medicine. She returned in the series finale.

Personality[]

Allison believes very strictly in a set moral system. Whether or not this chimes with her willingness to euthanize a patient in season three, or with her condemning Chase as "no longer valuing the sanctity of human life" for killing a mass-murdering tyrant who told Chase that as soon as he got out of the hospital he was going to commit an act of genocide, thereby saving the lives of thousands of people, is debatable. Likewise, she usually lays down her life and works as hard as possible to help people, even in cases where patients intentionally stab her with infected needles.
