Alma is one of the two main protagonists (alongside Tao Saotome) of the action manga series Gokurakugai. Alongside Tao, he is a troubleshooter (those who are called to solve problems) and a Maga killer.
Appearance[]
Alma is a lively young man with vibrant red hair styled in a spiky, tousled manner, complementing his energetic demeanor, bright eyes. He typically wears his red hooded jacket with black accents and gold clasps, which gives him a modern, casual look. The sleeves of the jacket are rolled up, revealing a white undershirt. His outfit is completed with black pants that are slightly cropped, showcasing his black slip-on shoes. His left eye will turn black and will emit a black aura as he pulls out his Karmic Stake to trigger his Maga Transformation.

Alma's love for food
Alma exudes an energetic and spirited disposition, often engaging in light-hearted and playful as a boy. His seemingly carefree attitude masks his adeptness at picking up on subtle details during interactions. Alma's simple culinary tastes are reflected in his willingness to accept food as compensation for missions, highlighting his uncomplicated and practical approach to sustenance. As a result, he is inhesitant to express his opinion over others and can have an intimidating side when he spots someone lying, including a suspicious client who attempted to get away by underpaying cash than he should. But beneath, he also has the astute skill to perceive nuances others may overlook. This keen observational skill includes a unique talent for discerning falsehoods, whether through scent or by scrutinizing someone's eyes, which sometimes leads to frustration when detecting trivial lies. He is a big eater, feasting food with both of his hand and has even been complimented to not get fat by Yaya Senda. He is also a complimentive person, agreeing that Yaya is cute when she tried to please him and Tao when she tried to convince them to do their job as troubleshooters as well as being impressed by the graffiti of a young boy named Luka Kiyomine, before abruptly scolding him by hitting him to warn that Tao and the BaoLai Restaurant Owner will punish him.
Luka notes that unlike the police whom he tried to talk to about concerning incidents around the areas and his strict father, Alma and Tao were more willingly to listen to him and help him to his surprise.
Deeply appreciative of his guardian Tao, Alma expresses his gratitude by aligning his preferences with hers and respectfully referring her politely as Ms. Tao. In contrast to Tao's composed and earnest demeanor, Alma's lively and playful nature stands out. His love for food became evident when Luka later brought food to him and Tao to show gratitude to save him and Yuki from that Maga in the hallway, prompting Alma to light up as he sees the bag in Yuki's hands.

Alma's contribution to his and Tao's partnership primarily involves his physical capabilities and combat skills, boosting his confidence in these areas. He eagerly anticipates swift victories in battles, approaching them with enthusiasm and determination. He frequently seeks her validation upon completing tasks, frequently being given foods such as meat in return, reward.
Abilities and Powers[]
- Hybrid Maga Transformation: By pulling out the handle of a butcher knife located at the center of his chest, he can transform into his Maga form, turning his iris pitch black with a golden pupil.
Weaknesses[]
Accordingly to Nei, Alma cannot trigger his transformation by pulling out his weapon from his chest without Tao by his sides.
Equipments[]
- Karmic Stake: A knife located inside his body, in his chest, when fighting Magas, Alma pulls the handle of the weapon to trigger his transformation.
