Alter Ego is an artificial intelligence model created by and based on the appearance of Chihiro Fujisaki. He helps the students escape in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, and returns in Super Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Academy.

Appearance[]

Alter Ego's default appearance is exactly similar to his creator, Chihiro Fujisaki. However, Alter Ego is able to turn his screen into anyone else that he wants to be.

Personality[]

Alter Ego is a friendly AI model whose personality resembles that of Chihiro Fujisaki, his creator. Although, when portraying another person, Alter Ego can change his personality to fit the person.  During Chapter 3, Aoi Asahina encounters Alter Ego in the locker room. Kyoko talks to him for a little bit before forbidding anybody to talk to him without permission. Naegi however, bypasses that rule, and introduces him to Taka, where Alter Ego turns into Mondo for a bit, and Taka turns into Kiyondo Ishida, a combination of Taka’s and Mondo’s personalities. A little while after that, Hifumi gains feelings towards Alter Ego, and fights Taka for him. Celeste hides Alter Ego in a locker and tells it to be quiet. After The 3rd Trial, Celeste gives Kyoko the key to Alter Egos Locker.

With Kyoko’s help, Alter Ego hacked into the school intranet system. After the fourth trial, since there was no culprit alive to be executed, Monokuma “executed” Alter Ego by destroying the laptop he was in. After his "execution", Alter Ego is revealed to still be "alive" in Chapter 5, and saves Naegi during his own execution.

Trivia[]

  • Alter Ego has an app available only in Japanese smartphone stores.
  • Alter Ego also helps create Chiaki Nanami for the Future Foundation in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.
