Alton Williams is the Franklin Saint's father who lived as a black panther in the past, some flashbacks show that he was a loving father, others instead thought he made many mistakes, however in his life he chose to sacrifice himself for his community.

After having lived the life of a black panther he had been forced by the black panthers and the FBI to kill a friend of his since that day Alton and changed by suffering and trying to redeem himself by helping more than before, after having raised Franklin for a few years he is kicked out of the house by his wife Cissy Saint for various arguments and bad behavior by Alton. After living for years on the streets, Franklin Saint will eventually start his drug empire until he becomes the biggest crack dealer in the world, his father returning to his family gets closer to them and tries to help the community by creating a drug center. shelter for drug addicts and the homeless without knowing that it was being funded by Franklin Saint with drug money. After finding out that Franklin is working with a CIA agent he gets angry because Alton hated the CIA or FBI for all their crimes and the murder they made them commit so he starts trying to boycott and dismiss the CIA agent Teddy McDonald aka Reed Thompson together with a journalist after the death of the journalist Alton goes on the radio to say Reed's nickname and after having organized a meeting with Teddy shortly before the shootout between the two Franklin and Cissy stop them and Teddy accepts the compromise that Alton and Cissy can leave on holiday in Cuba. A few weeks later, however, Teddy will go to Cuba to pay a visit to Alton, killing him and making him disappear.
