Amadeus Prower is a supporting character in the Archie Comics and spin-offs Sonic the Hedgehog series.
He is a mobian fox who was in the Royal Army for the Kingdom of Acorn and the father of Miles "Tails" Prower, as well the husband of Rosemary Prower, and also the brother of Merlin Prower.
Appearance[]
Amadeus is a brown anthropomorphic mobian fox with a lighter tufted muzzle and a small black nose, and with only one light blue eye. Inside of the pointed ears is light brown, as is the tip of the tail. He has large shaggy eyebrows over his eyes with a big hairdo on his head. He wears a blue uniform with gold guilloches above the elbows as well as limited sleeves and buttons on the chest. He has a red belt and red boots with a sword.
Biography[]
Amadeus was a captain of the Kingdom of Acorn Royal Army, and a veteran of the Great War.
In 3225, he left for work despite his wife Rosemary expecting their child to be born soon. In the palace, he discovered that the kingdom's former war minister, Julian Kintobor, was plotting a coup. He attempted to arrest the schemer, but was caught by a SWATbot and roboticized. Kintobor had Amadeus visit his wife's ward right after she had given birth, trying to cover up the fact that he was now a robot, but Rosemary realized something was off with her husband. When Kintobor, rechristened Ivo Robotnik, had staged his coup, the Prowers were presumed to have died, leaving their son Miles an orphan, but were actually rescued by the alien race Bem, who deroboticized Amadeus and had the couple stay on their planet.
Personality[]
Amadeus can be defined as a devoted and determined military soldier with a fiery spirit. He calls himself "the sword of the people" since he always wants his rights to be defended. He is also forward-thinking and determined to fix what isn't working in his system. He loves adventure, but is a bit unstable, being a control freak as he sometimes gets angry too often. He is also a devoted husband and a loving father. He is also a little too aggressive, because when he negotiates, he reacts with force rather than with his head, but then he understands that peaceful means are better.
