Amanda O'Neill is a supporting character featured in the Little Witch Academia series. Alongside her roommates Constanze and Jasminka, she was introduced in the second short of the series and established as a troublemaker not unlike the latter two where in her case, repeatedly sneaking into Luna Nova's storehouses and messing with its security systems for fun.
She is voiced by Arisa Shida in the Japanese version of the anime, and by Marin Miller in the English dub.
Personality[]
A feisty Irish-American witch, Amanda is a fun-loving, rebellious tomboy who tends to cause numerous acts of delinquency (particularly thievery). Although she can be a bit hot-blooded, rude and even had kleptomaniac tendencies, she is highly caring and loyal towards her friends.
Appearance[]
Amanda is a tall girl with short orange hair with amaranth undertones that points upwards, amaranth eyebrows, and bright green eyes.

- Metamorphosis Magic: Amanda has average skill in using Metamorphosis Magic.
- Clothes Transformation Spell: Amanda can magically transmogrify her clothes as well as that of others into any other type of clothing she desired as well as enchanting them. She can also use the same spell to change her hairstyle.
- Flower Spell: Amanda can transmogrify an object into any type of flowers she desires and even conjure flowers out of thin air.
- Object Transformation Spell: Amanda can magically transmogrify an object into any other type of objects she desires as well as enchanting them.
- Magic Barrier Spell: Amanda can conjure powerful energy barrier at will.
- Object Control Magic: Amanda can magically manipulate objects from distance without touching them.
- Flying Spell: Amanda can fly with her magic broom where unlike her peers, her flight style is noted to be reckless by Professor Nelson, as she enjoys flying more freely.
- Fundamental Alchemy: Amanda displayed decent talent in basic form of alchemy.
- Weapon-Wand Fusion Spell: Amanda can combine her wand with a weapon to upgrade the said weapon into a better version of it.
- Summoning Magic: Amanda can perform at least basic level spells of summoning magic.
- Songbird Summoning Spell: Using this spell, Amanda can call forth a flock of songbirds that will obey her command from trails of smoke generated by her broom while flying riding it at the same time.
- Metamorphosis Magic: Amanda has average skill in using Metamorphosis Magic.
- Athleticism: With or without her broom, Amanda is very agile, able to easily dodge several obstacles at the same time and even evade complex security systems.
- Skilled Combatant: While she seemingly has yet to receive a formal training, Amanda is a formidable combatant as much as magic user.
- Skilled Martial Artist: As shown in Chamber of Time game, Amanda is proficient in unarmed combat, mostly in form of delivering swift, precise kicks against her opponents. This includes devastating spinning kick while performing handstand as demonstrated during her duel against Louis.
- Sword Mastery: Amanda is also a capable swordswoman, demonstrated moderate to considerable skill in using swords as shown when dueling Louis.

- Magic Wand: Like all academy students, Amanda has a wand that she keeps in her belt band. She can even fuse it with a bent rapier to create a larger, dual-bladed sword.

- Amanda's character resembles Ryūko Matoi from Kill la Kill, another anime series produced by Studio Trigger. Notable similarities include their dual-colored hairstyle (which is only apparent when Ryūko fully synchronized with Senketsu apart from different color scheme) and reputation as juvenile delinquents. Even astute watches couldn't help but notice instances where Amanda's facial expressions occasionally drawn to resemble Ryūko's own.
- Amanda is the only witch student at Luna Nova to wear different footwear in standard witch outfit compared to the other students, as she wears sport shoes instead of Luna Nova-issued brown slip-ons.
