| ~ Amber |
Amber, also known as the only Outrider of the Knights of Favonius, is a playable character in the 2020 action role-playing fantasy video game Genshin Impact and one of the deuteragonists from the manga. She is also Mondstadt's resident Gliding Champion and the first character the Traveller meets, as well as the first character to join the Traveller's party.
She is voiced by Manaka Iwami in Japanese, also known for voicing Tohru Honda from Fruit Basket; and Kelly Baskin in English, also known for voicing Melodia from Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny and Airi Amano from D4DJ First Mix..=`
Personality[]
Amber is joyful and carefree, but also responsible and determined to become the best Outrider there ever was. She has a very optimistic personality and is hard-working as a result of her grandfather's influence, but she also can be impulsive and doesn't always think through her actions beforehand.
Appearance[]
Amber's first in-game appearance happens during the Archon Quest: 'Prologue: Act I - The Outlander Who Caught the Wind,' when she spots the Traveller and Paimon coming through the Whispering Woods after their encounter with Dvalin and questions them on their motives after ambushing them via flying somersault. She has fair (light, pale) skin, long chestnut-brown hair, golden eyes, and she is 18 years old. She wears a red and brown jacket with the cuffs rolled up and with the Knights of Favonius logo on her chest/torso, paired with brown biker shorts, long bright-red socks underneath knee-high white boots with gold accents, a red bow/headband accessory shaped like bunny ears, a pair brown pilot goggles (used for wind gliding) around her neck, a utility belt with a small brown leather bag on each hip, red and brown standard gloves, and her Vision (provides her Pyro abilities) is attached to her left hip with two golden-red bird feathers hanging from it.
Amber also has a cute stuffed plushie (named Baron Bunny) that is visible in one of her idle animations and is deployed with her talent, Explosive Puppet. Baron Bunny cannot repair itself after it explodes, and Amber has made over 900 of them but has stopped counting after Baron Bunny the 893rd.
Abilities and Powers (1, 2)[]
Sharpshooter: Amber's Normal Attack is a chain of up to 5 different bow attacks dealing Physical Damage, but she can Aim her Charged Attacks to deal a larger amount of Pyro Damage. When she executes a Plunging Attack, she fires a
Explosive Puppet (Elemental Skill, has CD of 15s & provides energy based on personal Energy Recharge statistic): Amber yells "Go go Baron Bunny!"/"Get them!"/*hums a short little tune* as she throws Baron Bunny, an explosive stuffed bunny, into the fray. Baron Bunny will dance around, taunting nearby opponents for 8 seconds before exploding and dealing AoE Pyro Damage.
Fiery Rain (Elemental Burst, costs 40 energy & has CD of 12s): Amber shouts "Let it rain!"/"No one escapes my sights!"/"No escape!" as she releases a shower of Pyro-infused arrows into the sky from the ground (similar to the Plunging Attack), dealing many smaller instances of Pyro Damage over 2 seconds.
Note: Using consumables such as Food or Potions, as well as buffs from Artifact sets, Weapons, and/or other Character Skills will increase Amber's Damage, and these buff are usable for all Genshin characters to various degrees. Unlocking Constellations also will give upgrades to characters, and these upgrades can affect multiple aspects such as personal damage, buffing abilities, support abilities, and talent levels among others. Elemental Reactions may increase Amber's damage in various ways (see this page for a more in-depth explanation) as well.[1]

Trivia[]
- Amber is often considered to be one of the worst characters in-game (along with Xinyan, Aloy, Mika, and Dori) due to her lower talent scaling and lack of utility in the majority of the meta.
- Collei, a Forest Ranger Trainee who now resides in Sumeru, met Amber approximately a year before the start of the game's events (described in the Manga) right before the Ludi Harpstatum festival. Due to her bright personality and the many ways she (Amber) helped Collei throughout her time in Mondstadt, Collei now looks up to the older girl and even sees her as her role model, doing her best to embody the Outrider's bright personality and abundant optimism.
