Amber is a minor character in the animated series The Owl House. She is a member of the Bards Against the Throne (BATTs) and the Covens Against the Throne (CATs), revolutionary groups created by Raine Whispers to oppose Emperor Belos.
Personality[]
Amber is very energetic and passionate about her work at BATTs. She has so much energy after the raid, which lasts all night, which causes a remark from Katya that she needs to calm down for once. She can be dismissive of creatures she doesn't trust, as evidenced by her initial comments on Eda, but later the witch wins her respect through her criminal experience.
Appearance[]
Amber is a short humanoid with mauve skin, pale gray hair, freckles and round silver eyes. She has features similar to bats: large, almost bat-like ears with an inner part that represent a darker version of her skin, a curved nose and black bat wings on her back. She has small thick eyebrows the same color as her hair.
Like other BATTs members, Amber wears a burgundy tunic that bends to one side, with gold trim and a button. She also wears light red trousers with a cord patch sewn on the left, a red headband and short gray boots.
Biography[]
As Eda is about to be arrested by the Emperor's Coven, Amber and the other Bards Against the Throne members get rid of the Coven scouts. However, the scouts return with reinforcements, and Food helps them escape. After escaping, she asks to join the group, and Raine reluctantly agrees. Amber initially refuses to call Ida "Mama Eda", but, having become closer to her, sincerely accepts this nickname. In the following days, the BATTs sabotages various raids of the Imperial Coven. Despite their efforts, they fall into the trap of Darius and Eberwolf, and Amber, Katya and Derwin are imprisoned and sent to the Conformatorium.
A few days before the Day of Unity, Amber and the rest of the BATTs team up with Darius, Eberwolf, Steve, Lilith, Eda, King, Hooty and Luz, renaming their growing group the Covens Against the Throne as they plan to stop the withering spell. They decide to brand Ida with the seal of the Bard Coven and use the masking stone to take the place of Raine. They go to the Titan's head to make sure the plan is working, but they are discovered and they cannot interfere with the withering spell until The Collector completes the eclipse.
