Andrea, also known as Andi, is one of the two main protagonists (alongside Frankie) of Glitch Productions' indie animated sci-fi psychological thriller series, Knights of Guinevere.
She works as an android surgeon, repairing advanced technology and animatronics. She is depicted often as exhausted from her work, described as "running on coffee, overthinking, and spite" and often shown to have a shorter temper then her best friend, Frankie.
She is voiced by Zelda Khan Black.
Appearance[]
Andi is a tall and slim young Filipino woman who wears a mixed light-dark green colored uniform. Consisting of a short-sleeve turtleneck crop top with puff sleeves, matching high-waist pencil skirt, long arm-length white gloves, and grey tights. For footwear she has long knee-high black boots with orange soles and knee pads. She has a deep-tan skin complexion with black hair which is tied back into a low ponytail by an orange hair band. And she has reddish-brown eyes along with sporting freckles.
Personality[]
Andi is a young woman who lives in a constant state of tension. She is weary from years of carrying responsibilities and strain from her work, as well as the treatment she receives from others for it. This frustration leaves her guarded and often cynical about the world around her. Her time as a junior engineer for Park Planet sharpened this outlook. Even after losing that job, she continues to brace herself for disappointment, as though she expects hardship to follow her no matter where she goes.
Her body language reflects her guarded nature. Even in moments of success or brief pride, she keeps herself closed off, her emotions showing only through subtle details in her eyes rather than through overt expression. She reserves physical intensity for moments of true conviction, when she feels compelled to speak or take a stand. This is seen when she openly expresses why she took a job as a junior engineer, or when she wrests Sparky’s weapon from him to defend Frankie. These are sudden bursts of full body resolve from someone who otherwise shields herself from outward vulnerability.
Andi often carries the strain of her work and was not thrilled about her job, believing that she had to do it to make ends meet like everyone else. The physical side of this had taken its toll on her; endless nights on her laptop have left her wrists aching, and she is so consumed by her tasks that she even types in her sleep. This amplifies her exhaustion, deepening her need for rest and small escapes. Beneath the hardened surface, she longed for time away from struggle, to simply immerse herself in the comfort of horror films and historical dramas which are quiet moments where she can set aside the burdens of survival, and to truly find something that will better her life in the long run.
Andi’s personality is defined by this mixture of toughness and quiet fragility. She does not crumble under the weight of her circumstances, but she rarely allows herself openness or relief. Her strength lies in her ability to endure and to act decisively when pushed, though at her core, she is someone who desperately needs space to breathe, and a life where her defenses no longer have to stay up at all times. She is also defined by her sharp intelligence, dry wit, and tendency toward impatience. She is highly capable under pressure, though often overworked and visibly exhausted from the demands placed on her. Andi's pragmatism balances Frankie's more reckless tendencies: while Frankie charges ahead, Andi evaluates risks and voices skepticism.
Biography[]
PILOT[]
As a child, Andi had once snuck with Frankie onto Park Planet and attempted to hack a claw machine to win a Princess plush. Their several attempts fail, and while leaving, the two encounter Guinevere and are left in awe. Frankie notices a glitch and fixes Guinevere’s hand, an act Andi witnesses.
Years later, Andi works as a junior engineer for Park Planet. She is shown pleading with a shop owner for change, but he refuses and insults her as a “crownie.” while motioning to a crude sign. While she argues, Frankie steals the needed parts from a vending machine (via hacking deviced promptly named "Boombox", the same one used to hack the crane game at the start of the episode), and the two flee together. That evening, Andi struggles to repair a robot head but succeeds after Frankie identifies the issue. Morning quickly arrives, and she leaves for work with Frankie wishing her luck.
Andi is next seen storming out of the Park Planet labs, having been fired for reasons not shown. Returning to the slums, she is harassed by a man for her association with Park Planet. He spits on her shoe, and she responds angrily before witnessing him collapse with blue blood. She puts on a gas mask and walks away.
Later, Andi overhears Frankie speaking unconsciously about the Guinevere android and mistakenly believes she is referring to a person. After Frankie explains her plan, Andi follows her to a warehouse and discovers the android. She suggests handing it to security but, after remembering their childhood encounter, reluctantly agrees to help repair it.
When they attempt to move the android into the Park Planet labs, Andi and Francesca are intercepted by Sparky and his crew. During the confrontation, Sparky restrains Frankie and prepares to strike her with an electrified weapon. Andi seizes the weapon and holds it against Sparky, forcing him to relent. She points out the true value of the android to Sparky and strikes a deal with him to repair it, so they can sell it at an even higher price.
After this encounter, Andi continues with Frankie and the android to the lower labs. She confirms that she was fired from her job and receives comfort from Frankie, but ultimately continues forward. When a giant robot attacks, she flees alongside Francesca and the android. After hiding inside a structure, she helps Frankie freeze its arm with a coolant line. The two are later knocked unconscious when the robot destroys the structure.
Regaining consciousness, Andi is carried to safety by the android. She follows Francesca into an elevator to escape the giant robot and refuses to reopen the doors when Francesca pleads to help the android in its battle. After the android defeats the robot and returns to them, Andi assists in bringing it to the repair halo. Alongside Frankie, she initiates the repair process.
