Andre Mitchell is a minor supporting character from the first episode of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead: Season One. He's an Atlanta State Trooper that assisted Lee, Clementine, and Shawn in getting out of Clementine's dangerous, walker-infested neighborhood.
He was voiced by Jacob Battersby.
Biography[]
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Not much is known about Andre's life prior to the zombie outbreak other than he was a state trooper for Atlanta, and also he was friends with Hershel Greene and knew he for sometime, claiming they go "way back".
Season One[]
A New Day[]
If Lee and Clementine choose to leave during the night, they come across Andre, who is accompanying Shawn Greene. Initially, Andre mistakes Lee Everett for a walker, but upon realizing Lee is with a young girl, he lowers his weapon. Andre explains that they're in search of their friend, Chet, who was last seen being attacked by a walker and has gone missing. While discussing Chet's possible whereabouts, an undead Chet unexpectedly appears, rounding the corner, prompting Andre to draw his sidearm and instruct the others to head to his police car for safety. However, Andre finds himself unable to pull the trigger and rushes back to his car. They all drive towards Hershel's Farm, where Andre drops off Lee, Shawn, and Clementine. He offers his condolences to Shawn regarding Chet's fate before driving away.
If Lee and Clementine choose not to leave during the night, they never cross paths with Andre, leaving his fate uncertain.
Personality[]
Andre is a kind and dependable companion. In his role as a police officer, Andre is dedicated to safeguarding individuals in the city, as demonstrated when he ensures the safety of Lee, Clementine, and his close friend Shawn. It's worth noting that during the early stages of the apocalypse, he lacks the experience of a seasoned survivor. This becomes evident when he struggles to kill his friend Chet, whom he encounters as a walker, unable to bring himself to do so.
