Angela Childs is the lead protagonist of the 2022 thriller film Kimi. She is an agoraphobic tech worker who one day, discovers a crime that has been committed via a recording through a home AI device and sets out to do the right thing. However, she is soon embroiled in a scandalous conspiracy by people who will do anything to keep it a secret.
She was portrayed by Zoë Kravitz, who also played Selina Kyle/Catwoman in The Batman and also voiced Mary Jane Watson-Parker in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Ever since she was assaulted years prior, Angela Childs has been agoraphobic and has never left her house. She was almost on the road to recovery but the COVID pandemic as set her back and so she works entirely from home and is reluctant to make human connections.
While working at her tech job, where she monitors data stream from home AI device 'Kimi', she stumbles across a strange recording. She uses her sound equipment to remove the layers of interference and hears a woman screaming, deducing that an assault is taking place. She tries to go to her supervisor at Amygdala, but he dismisses her. She attempts to go higher up but is also dismissed.
Angela investigates it further and manages to get access to the entirety of the customer's data streams. She hears more recordings, one in which the woman, Samantha, is confronting a man, Bradley (who unbeknown to Angela at this time is the CEO of Amygdala) about the time he sexually assaulted her. She threatens him and he leaves angry. Angela skips through to the last recording and hears two men break into Samantha's home and sounds of struggle and ultimately, them executing her.
Angela is shaken by what she has heard and gets an unexpected call from one of the higher ups at the company, Natalie Chowdhury, asking her to come in with the recordings and a that they will reach out to the FBI. She manages to bravely leave her home and venture outside. While meeting with Natalie, Angela gets suspicious when she is reluctant to contact the authorities and she leaves the room.
Two men appear and chase Angela through the building and out into the streets as Angela quickly tries to evade them, only to be drugged and captured shortly after. They take her back to her home and plan to stage a home invasion to cover up her murder.
However, Kevin, a neighbor of Angela's from across the street tries to save her but is stabbed and the two men take them both inside. They are all joined by a hitman Rivas, who has been hired by Bradley Hasling to clean up the incident. Angela uses Kimi to trick the hitmen and make her escape, where she hides in the attic of her building and manages to get a nail gun as a weapon from the construction site happening above.
Angela shoots the three hitmen with nails, killing them. She asks Kimi to call 911 to help Kevin and reports the crime (and deaths) that have happened in her home. Later, Angela is seen once again leaving her home, this time to meet one of her handsome neighbor's, Terry for a breakfast date, with a smile on her face.
