Biography[]
I Spit On Your Grave[]
As the film starts, Jennifer drives to a cabin in the woods that she had rented from a man named Earl, located next to a town, in order to her next book to be written in privacy. Lost and out of fuel, she pulls into a gas station to inform and refuel. The owner of the station is Johnny, who informs her and hits on her, in vain regardless of her sympathy and politeness. Jennifer inadvertently hits the panic button on her car, causing Johnny to stumble backward into a bucket of water, and his nearby friends Andy and Stanley laugh at this.
After she makes it to the cabin, she spends the next days sunbathing, hiking, smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol (something she had brought large amount of). One day the plumbing of the cabin's bathroom becomes clogged up, and a mentally handicapped plumber named Matthew is requested to fix the problem. When he fixes the plumbing, she kisses him, in a innocent way, on the cheek.
That night, the four men infiltrates into Jennifer's cabin. They attack her and force her to perform demeaning, sexual acts, such as emulating oral sex on a pistol and a bottle. She escapes into the woods and meets Sheriff Storch and Earl. Storch takes Jennifer back to the cabin for her evident help. He finds her alcohol and marijuana, accusing her of legal falsification and starts frisking her, which gets progressively suggestive. The other men come through the door and it becomes obvious they are scheming with the sheriff. They hold her down while hardly forcing Matthew to have sex with her, but he denies. They continue to torment him before he succumbs to the peer pressure.
After being raped by Matthew, Jennifer stumbles from the cabin into the woods naked. The men catch up to her, and Andy holds her head into water while Storch rapes her. The others also rape her, and Stanley records all on his video camera. Afterward, Jennifer steps onto a bridge and falls into the river, seemingly dying from it, just as Storch is about to shoot her, and she doesn't go up. Storch tells the other three men to search for Jennifer in the river, but they can find nothing about her whereabouts. An angry Storch then destroys the tape containing the footage Stanley recorded with his camera and demands the others get rid of all the proof.
When Matthew is in the cabin, he hears Jennifer's voice saying she knows he's there, which baits him up the stairs. He becomes frenzy and goes back down the stairs. Regaining consciousness, he finds Jennifer, finally revealed to have survived, on the couch watching him. Matthew attempts to feel for her and when Jennifer agrees his excuse and relieves him stating that it wasn't his fault that he raped her, she slips a noose around his neck and strangles him to unconsciousness, stating that "it's not good enough".
She then captures Stanley in a bear trap, and when Andy comes to see him getting caught in it, she knocks out Andy then Stanley with a baseball bat. She ties Andy up over a bathtub filled with water and ties Stanley against the tree. She sets up his camera to face Stanley, then places the dead rat into Stanley's mouth, causing him to puke. She and then ties his eyes open with fish hooks. Jennifer returns to force Andy's head into the water repeatedly. Returning for Stanley, she gets a fish and spreads the guts in his eyes and face. Crows come and peck on his face and eyeballs. She does this to be ironic about him making a comment about her eyes whilst raping her.
She puts lye in the water and when Andy's strength gives, he collapses into the water. Each time he pulls himself up, his face becomes more corroded and his tongue keeps melting, bleeding to death. She does this to be ironic about him commenting about her "pretty face" whilst raping her. Jennifer then knocks Johnny unconscious with a tire iron, strings him up naked, pulls his teeth out with pliers, then forces him to perform fellatio on his pistol. Finally she castrates him, sticks it in his mouth, and leaves him to bleed out. She pulled out his teeth to be ironic about him telling her to watch her teeth while performing fellatio whilst raping her.
During this time, Storch's daughter, Chastity's, tutor makes into her house, and Chastity calls him. She holds the phone to her "tutor" which is revealed to be Jennifer so she can say hello. Storch realizes it's her as she teases him about how "it's a pleasure to meet [his] family". Storch races home and discovers Jennifer took his daughter to the park. Storch goes to the park but no one is there. He gets back in his car and Jennifer knocks him out. When he wakes, Jennifer rapes him with his shotgun and reminds him that she was just as innocent as his own daughter, before he raped her. She has tied one end of a string to the trigger and the other end to Matthew's wrist. Matthew is still out of consciousness, and Jennifer tells Storch, "If I were you, I'd tell him not to move". When Matthew wakes up, he pulls the trigger of the shotgun, killing himself and Storch. She did this to be ironic about how he anally raped her. The film ends with Jennifer sitting outside, hearing the gunshot, and smiling.
I Spit On Your Grave 2[]
Even though Jennifer does not appear in this film, she was replaced by Katie Carter as the main protagonist having similar personality and goals to her.
I Spit On Your Grave 3[]
After the survival from her assault and succesful revenge on the men that hurt her, Jennifer located to Los Angeles and changed her name to "Angela Jitrenka," later saying "[she] didn't want to be 'Jennifer Hills' anymore". She's no longer an aspiring writer, but is a hedge fund manager. She goes to group advicing and gets personal therapy for her mental trauma.
While in group advicing, Jennifer/Angela begins developing a tie with one of the girls in the group, Marla Finch. The duo began their own personal crusade, by exacting poetic justice for victims of sexual assault that they learn about in group.
They begin by following Ron Merrick, an evident child-molester who was abusing his step-daughter Cassie being in their group. Marla hits him with a tire iron and threatens him into leaving Cassie alone, an act that Angela has blended feelings about. However, just as Angela begins enjoying life, Marla is murdered by her ex-boyfriend Nicholas Woods, and is found not guilty of her death. She becomes reported with Detective McDylan, an investigator who was investigating Marla's death. However, he wasn't able to bring justice for Marla nor closure for Angela. This splits up her sanity, and she takes the law into her own hands. Angela tracks down Nicholas till outside where she then severe his genitals and then beat him with a crowbar, killing him.
Angela feels bad for Cassie when she tells the group that Ron continuously rapes her. She makes the decision to pay attention of this by seducing and luring him to a desolate building to torture him to death. She zaps him with a stun-stick, ties him up, and jams a pipe down his anus. She then kills him by further thrusting the pipe with a strike of a sledgehammer, killing him. She was inspired of using a pipe from Oscar, a member of the group who had lost his daughter to a suicide after her rapist is set free. However, her actions started to draw attention group. She then took target a man named Cole Watson who was responsible for the rape of Oscar's daughter. Watson is aware he was followed by her, and he tried to force himself on her, only for McDylan to arrive and shoot him dead. He has then taken her to the station, guessing not only that she was responsible for the two deaths, but also that she was actually Jennifer Hills.
But Oscar deduced her identity, and was proud that someone was doing something about the rapes and didn't want her to take the fall. So he sacrificed himself by publicly confessing the murders to the police after slashing his own arms and costed his life by saving Angela from facing incarceration. Although Angela successfully got out of jail thanks to Oscar's sacrifice, she was still being followed as a person of interest, as Detective Boyle had deduced her identity as Jennifer Hills, thus explaining her vendetta against rapists, although her previous revenge-kills were a rule of mass murder-suicide. Despite the police keeping an eye on her, she manages to evade detection, yet becomes increasingly disillusioned with society and unhinged that there's no justice for wrongdoers. She realized that justice can only be exacted upon one's self.
Shortly Oscar died, Angela evaded the police and dressed herself in a suggestive red dress in an attempt to lure a sexual predator, unaware Detective McDylan was trailing her the entire time. While on her way home, she distracted a local thug that has been propositioning her. Armed with a knife, didn't manage to lure him close enough to kill him and got into a struggle. McDylan arrived in attempt to neutralize the situation, only for Jennifer to refuse to vield and McDylan had no choice but to shoot and arrest her.
In the following scene, it turns out most events was a flashback, and currently, she is seen wearing orange jail clothes in the therapist's room since she was arrested for attempting to commit murder and was sentenced to two years. So, she was getting out later that week.
When Angela is attacked by two inmates, she kills them both as well as the therapist, however, this was just another fantasy, and her fantasies of killing go on. The film ends with Angela smiling while walking down the hallway.
