Anthony Fait is the protagonist of Cradle 2 the Grave action film. He's played the by the late DMX.
Biography[]
Anthony is the leader of a group of thieves. One day he steals some diamonds, but one of his accomplices is attacked by Agent Su and takes his share. Anthony's employer, Ling, finds out about this and demands the black diamonds that Anthony should have. Anthony says he doesn't have black diamonds. Soon Athnony is attacked by Ling's men. Su comes to Anthony's aid and together they defeat Ling's men. It soon turns out that Ling has kidnapped Anthony's eight-year-old daughter Vanessa. Ling again demands black diamonds. Anthony goes to crime boss Chambers, but he refuses to help him. Then Anthony tries to get into Chambers' club, but there he is caught by the people of Odion, Chambers' assistant, and handed over to the police. Anthony manages to escape (a bound Vanessa watches on TV), after which he makes his way back to the club, where he finds all of Odion’s people killed. There, he and Su find only one black diamond (obviously missed by Ling). It becomes clear that Ling took the rest of the diamonds, which means he no longer needs Vanessa. Soon Anthony receives a call from Vanessa herself. She leaves clues about where to look for her, and Su helps Anthony understand these clues. Su and Anthony and their group break into the airport where Ling wanted to sell black diamonds (which turned out to be compressed plutonium) and engage in battle with Ling's men. At this time, Vanessa runs away and Anthony finds her. Anthony defeats one of Ling's henchmen, at which time Su kills Ling himself and takes the black diamonds. Anthony and his team decide to stop being criminals and ask Su to negotiate with the police so that they will not be punished.
Personality[]
Although Anthony is an obvious criminal, he never goes too far. He doesn't kill people without reason, treats his accomplices well, and is in love with Daria. He also demonstrates hospitable attitude towards Su, despite the latter being a cop, and while the did have a fight at the beginning of the film, he later becomes friendlier towards him. He also dotes on his daughter Vanessa and is ready to tear to pieces anyone who offends her.
