Anthony "Fridge" Johnson, also known by his avatar Franklin "Mouse" Finbar, is the deuteragonist of the 2017 film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and one of the three tritagonists (alongside Milo Walker and Eddie Gilpin) of the 2019 sequel, Jumanji: The Next Level.
Fridge is a football jock who was once friends with Spencer Gilpin. He convinced Spencer to write his essays and homework for him, allowing him to maintain his position on the football team, but was discovered and sent to detention along with Spencer.
He was portrayed by Ser'Darius Blain as a human and by Kevin Hart who also played Snowball in The Secret Life of Pets and it's sequel The Secret Life of Pets 2, Calvin Joyner in Central Intelligence, Darnell Lewis in Get Hard, George Beard in Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, Ace in DC League of Super-Pets, and Roland in Borderlands as his avatar in the first movie. In the sequel, he is temporarily portrayed by Jack Black (who also played Po from Kung Fu Panda franchise, Ignacio/Nacho from Nacho Libre, Lenny from Shark Tale, R.L. Stine from Goosebumps movies, Jables from Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny, Eddie Riggs in Brütal Legend, Jonathan Barnavelt in The House with a Clock in its Walls, and Claptrap in Borderlands) as his avatar.
Personality[]
Fridge is initially viewed at first as a selfish, arrogant, lazy, and irresponsible person who is only concerned about football and not homework. He took advantage of his friendship with Spencer by making him do his homework for him so he won't get kicked off the football team. When he got found out cheating, he got detention for it, along with Spencer who did his homework for him, and it caused him to get angry with Spencer and blamed him for getting him kicked off the team when he made Spencer do his homework in the first place.
He also considers football "the one thing he's actually good at" which means he doesn't rely on his other skills. However, later on, he starts to lose his selfish behavior and starts to become more supportive of Spencer and becomes his friend again in the end.
