Season 4[]
When Daniel and Sam return home after training, an alarm goes off and Amanda and Anthony checks out the front, believing that someone from Cobra Kai has broke into the house. They're relieved to see it's just Daniel and Sam before Amanda informs the security company to assure them it's a false alarm.
While on a bus to West Valley Middle School, Anthony and his friends, who are a group of bullies, make fun of the new student, Kenny Payne, dancing as he waits for the bus stop. During the gym class, Kenny, a decent basketball player, accidentally hits Anthony in the face. Though Kenny apologizes, Anthony doesn't believe it was an accident and confronts the student. Lia intervenes and stops Anthony, telling him to take it easy on the new kid. He obliges but watches her be friendly with Kenny and he gets jealous of him.
That night, Anthony and his friends catfish Kenny by tricking him into believing that Lia wants to meet him at Balboa Park in his Dungeon Lord cosplay. They record Kenny in the park. He tries to stop Anthony from recording and accidentally breaks his phone, apologizes, but insults them in return. Zack Thompson and Anthony's friends restrain Kenny and assaults him. They encourage Anthony to use his karate moves. When he hesitates, his friends calls him 'LaPusso,' leading him ready to attack. This gives Kenny the opportunity to escape. They chase him to no avail as he hides from them in a dumpster. The bullying continues, with Anthony and his gang filled Kenny's locker with milk in the coming school days.
He is shown having dinner with his family, Miguel Diaz, and his mother, Carmen Diaz. He is surprised to see that Johnny is with them as he was invited by Daniel. Johnny doesn't recognize Anthony at first, due to the weight loss and his growth appearance.
During a day at middle school, Anthony and Lia talk about how they haven't hung out. She tells them that they can do something as friends. He watches as Lia talks to Kenny. At the end of gym class, Anthony steals Kenny's Cobra Kai hoodie, leading Kenny to chase him while in his underwear which results him being embarrassed in front of the class.
Later that day, Daniel finds the stolen hoodie and confronts Anthony about it. He calims that a kid from Cobra Kai is bullying him at school so he stole it to get back at him. Daniel decides it's time to begin Anthony's training in Miyagi-Do. He shows him the dojo and explains the history behind everything. He tasks Anthony with cleaning Mr. Miyagi's old cars. When he returns, he's impressed that Anthony cleaned them until he learns Anthony hired a man to clean the cars for him. Daniel decides Anthony isn't mature enough to handle karate after all. Back in the house, Anthony takes a look of a karate scroll. Daniel merely calls it an extreme measure he hopes no one has to use. The two have a conversation about Mr. Miyagi.
At school, Anthony and Lia have a conversation, where they reflect their childhood friendship. Lia invites Anthony to an upcoming carnival and Anthony is excited about this, but his mood goes down when Lia announces she is going with Kenny. Anthony tries to apologize and reconcile with Kenny but he doesn't forgive him. After he calls Anthony "LaPusso", he and his friends chase Kenny through the hallway until they reach the library. They seemly cornered the boy until the lights in the room go out. They split up to find him but one-by-one, Kenny takes down the students using the techniques he's learned from Cobra Kai dojo. He leaves Anthony for last and easily takes him down. He is about to beat him up when the lights suddenly turn on and a teacher appears. The students are taken to the principal's office. When the Daniela Amanda arrive, they expect consequences for Kenny for the bullying he's done to their son. However, when the principal explains that Anthony and his friends are being suspended, as they have been bullying Kenny for during his time at school. He shows the Instagram video of Kenny's locker being filled with milk posted by Anthony, followed by security footage of Anthony and his friends chasing Kenny into the library. He then reveals that Anthony has become a bully shocking Daniel and Amanda as they realized that Anthony lied. From outside, Anthony is suspended but Kenny is off the hook due to being a bully victim. He whispers "got ya" to Anthony, knowing that he's won this battle.
Due to the bullying he's done, Anthony is grounded and loses his electronic privileges and is sent to his bedroom. He is shown taking a picture with his family, Johnny, Miguel and his family before Sam and Miguel goes to the West Valley High School Junior Prom together. During the night, Daniel checks with Anthony in his bedroom and tries to make amends with his son for his actions. Anthony then later wishes Daniel good luck at the upcoming All Valley Karate Tournament and hopes that Cobra Kai loses in which he agrees. Unbeknownst to Daniel, Anthony had been secretly hiding an iPad all along in his room, in which he hears due to a notification chime while playing Dungeon Lord. Daniel gets angry at him for not taking the punishment seriously and demands Anthony to give his iPad to him. Anthony protests to Daniel that it's a tablet. Regardless, Daniel breaks it using karate techniques with his knee. When Anthony reacts to it, Daniel yells "quiet" to him. He warns Anthony to follow and listen to his rules or face a much worse punishment since he is "done playing games with him", which Anthony reluctantly agrees. The next day, Anthony is shown taking out the trash where he admits his mistakes to Kenny. To make amends, he offers Daniel to help him at the dealership or the dojo and Daniel agrees.
Anthony and the rest of his family attends All Valley Karate Tournament to cheer for Sam and Miyagi-Do. He then saw how Kenny was brutally beaten by Robby during their match in the quarterfinals of the tournament which leads Kenny to run to the locker room to check his nose. Realizing his mistakes and wanting to make amends, Anthony followed Kenny to the locker room to try and cheer him up with his loss by saying that Robby was one of the best fighters. He tried to apologize again to Kenny for all the bullying he's done to him with Kenny stating that Anthony was just trying to impress his friends by picking on the new kid who didn't have any when he moved in. Unfortunately, Kenny at this point doesn't forgive him and is convinced that he doesn't know how it feels to be bullied. He started brutally punching him until he was stopped by Robby, who's been training him in Cobra Kai and discovers that Anthony was his bully. Kenny then grabbed Anthony and told him that next year he would be in a world of pain. Robby then tried to talk to Anthony but he left while claiming that he should leave him alone. After the All Valley, Anthony and the rest of his family returned to their home in disappointment that Cobra Kai won.

Anthony turns down the t-shirt and throws it on the ground, which is noticed by Kenny, Kyler, and their friends; Kenny picks up the shirt and tells him he dropped something. The Cobra Kais give him a swirlie in an un-flushed toilet as retaliation, which earns him a cruel nickname and new trauma.
