In Atlanta, Georgia, gunman Michael Brandon Hill entered a school armed with an assault rifle and over 500 rounds of ammunition. He fired shots inside the school but did not hit anyone. Antoinette Tuff, a school book keeper, engaged him in conversation, showing compassion and empathy. Through her calm and courageous demeanor, she was able to de-escalate the situation, convincing Hill to surrender to the police peacefully.
