Apprentice, otherwise known as "Josian Kaid" or "Vatasha Trenelle" is the main protagonist of Bethesda Softworks 1997 fantasy RPG title An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire. They are a participant of the second competition to determine the next "Battlespire" who arrived on their final test just to discover Mehrunes Dagon's scheme, at the same time captured their partner.
The apprentice then decided to take the matters into their own hand and stop Mehrunes and retrieve their partner no matter of the cost.
History[]
Background and Origins[]
Born on 3E 372, being two years younger than the Eternal Champion and three years older than the Hero of Daggerfall, the Apprentice is a resourceful figure who possessed great strength in their youth.
They eventually become a member of the Imperial Battlespire in order to gain knowledge and nessecary strength for their advancement toward the path of a "Battlespire". Depending on their gender, they seem to share a close relationship with the kidnapped one.
Events of Battlespire[]
On the day of their final test, the apprentice discover Mehrunes Dagon's Daeda army, having murdered and killed almost everyone it their way. The apprentice decide to take it upon themself to travel through the realms of Oblivion, where they received the helps of Chimere, assist in the quest of Deyanira Katrece to free Jaciel Morgan and battled several beats and demons before arriving to confront Dagon and save their friend.
The apprentice defeats the dark lord and free their friend, walking away to the realms of Tamriel.
Legacy[]
Is it unknown what happened to the apprentice decades later, but eventually other roses up to defeat the dark lord succeeding the former hero.
Personality[]
The apprentice often speak with an exaggerrated tone and often comes off comedic. They seems to value the idea of justice, freedom and the perservation of life, which is one of the reason why they decided to help Deyanira in saving Jaciel.
They also care about their partner, doing anything they could to save them. At the same time, they hold a strong hate toward evil and will do what is nessecary to take them down.
