April Eagle is the deuteragonist of the cartoon series Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs. She is the daughter of Commander Eagle and an engineer who designs and is in charge of Project Ramrod, as well as a member of Calvary Command and the Star Sheriffs. Alongside her teammates, she fights against the Outriders and save the human dimension from their invasion.

She was voiced by Pat Musick.

Appearance[]

April is a young girl with blonde hair, blue eyes and a red headband. She wears red sleeveless clothes with a blue belt. Her pilot outfit is pink and white, completed with a helmet.

Personality[]

April is a teen genius, able to engineer the Ramrod at a young age. She's brave and very technically minded, and often helps the team from her station aboard the Ramrod. April is also repulsed by the idea of killing anyone, even the Outriders.

She also likes to play tennis, being used to be a professional tennis player prior to joining the Calvary Command.

April is the subject of several romance arcs. Initially, April has feelings for Saber Rider, but he's oblivious to them. Eventually, she falls in love with Fireball instead.

Role[]

April was born to Commander Eagle, the leader of the Calvary Command. Ever since she was young, she has shown herself to be a genius with the ability to invent things.

Later, the Outriders launch a second invasion, thanks to their leader Nemesis creating the Vapor Trail that allows them to cross over the human dimension. They attack the Settlers, destroy settlements, and kidnap humans to mine minerals from various planets. As a result, the Calvary Command decide to develop a transformable starship known as the Ramrod Equalizer Unit. April is the one who designs it and is in charge of its project.

As specialists are required to pilot it, April alongside Saber Rider, Fireball and Colt Willcox are chosen by Commander Eagle, forming the Star Sheriffs. From then on, April alongside her teammates fight the Outriders to protect the human dimension from them. She also initially has feelings for Saber Rider, but due to his obliviousness to them, she eventually starts a relationship with Fireball instead.
