April O'Neil is the one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Master Splinter) of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and its feature film sequel.
She is voiced by Kat Graham, who plays Bonnie Bennett from The Vampire Diaries and Rhythm & Blues from Trolls: TrollsTopia.
Appearance[]
April is a teenage colour-skinned girl with curly burgundy hair styled in two high buns with bangs, black eyes, dark brown skin, and a thin figure. She wears a long yellow t-shirt and a cropped green varsity jacket with ¾ sleeves and a button closure (typically found on the right side). Her jacket has light green trim and a '5' print over its heart and back. She wears black capri leggings, yellow high-top sneakers, a black choker around her neck, and a pair of red cat-eye glasses with yellow lenses. She also wears two yellow hair ties.
Personality[]
April is tomboyish, upbeat, sassy, and much more louder than her previous incarnations. She is also aggressive and quick to jump into action, as she is more than willing to fray alongside the Turtles in battle, even defeating enemies like Meat Sweats and the Foot Recruit without their aid, showing that she also has more spunk, confidence and spirit. However, like most of the versions of her character, April considers the Turtles as her brothers and acts like a cool big sister to them, being the oldest one out of the oldest of the bros, Raphael, by one year and is constantly bailing them out of bad situations. Though the Turtles do often try to help her save her after school jobs, it winds up getting her fired more often than not. While she is battle ready, April shows that she is compassionate and understanding at heart.
April is shown to be incredibly brave as seen in "The Gumbus" when she was enjoying the whole fiasco in the Stock 'n' Shop while Mikey and Leo were freaking out. In "War and Pizza", April is very determined and would never give up as seen when she tries to get through Timmy's birthday without any disruptions.
Despite this, she can be rude at times. Like in "The Fast and the Furriest" when Donnie accuses her of stealing the Turtle Tank and, being annoyed by them breaking in and being accused of something she didn't do, uses a bat to get them out via window.
April is always helpful as seen when she uses her birthday wish to help Warren Stone save Hypno-Potamus. Even though she was betrayed by Warren, she is quite forgiving when she decides to save him from Baron Draxum with the help of Hypno-Potamus. April is also selfless as she decides to cut off Warren's arm which contains the gauntlet for the sake of Hypno-Potamus.

She's quite agile and powerful on her own. Her fighting style screams out Street Fighting. She also has natural talent for improvisation.
