~ Aramus to his fellow brothers. |
Aramus or The Force Commander is the main protagonist of Relic Entertainment 2009 real time strategy video game Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II and it's 2010 expansion Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II – Chaos Rising.
He is a member of the Space Marines who is notable for being the hero of many Blood Raven's strikes during the Aurelian Crusades.
History[]
Dawn of War II[]
Aramus first distinguished himself during the Hadrian Campaign, where he led a daring mission to eliminate an enemy artillery position without suffering any casualties. This remarkable success earned him a promotion to sergeant and the role of force commander, personally granted by Chapter Master Azariah Kyras.
As the youngest Blood Raven to attain such a prestigious command, his rapid ascent sparked debate among the Chapter’s senior members, some viewing his promotion as premature. Nevertheless, Aramus and his surviving warriors cemented their legacy as the "Heroes of Typhon" following their decisive victory against the Tyranids during the First Aurelian Crusade.
Chaos Rising[]
His rise continued after the successful conclusion of the Second Aurelian Crusade, when Gabriel Angelos, Kyras' successor as Chapter Master, promoted him to captain of the 4th Company.
He assumed the position previously held by Davian Thule, who had been interred within a Dreadnought.
Trivia[]
- The name "Aramus" was the title dubbed for the character in the novel, in the games, he was never given an actual title or name and is just simply the player character. His most prominent appearance is right in his introduction cutscene of the second game.
- Is it unclear why depsite his important role, Aramus only made appearance in two games, while Gabriel Angelos often make more recurring character apperance instead. Though, is it most properly due to him only there to serve as a player character instead of posing a much more personality-driven figure like Gabriel.
