Captain Hans Grimm, codename Archie, is a deuteragonist of the video game Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War. A member of the Osean Air Defense Force and the Razgriz Squadron, he is one of the Osean pilots who helped bring about the end of the Circum-Pacific War.
He was voiced by Kenji Nojima in Japanese and by Johnny Yong Bosch in English.

Hans was born in January 1991. He looked up to his brother, who served in the army and inspired him to join the air force.
The Unsung War[]
When the war between Osea and Yuktobania broke out, Hams Grimm, under the codename of "Archer", was the latest addition to Wardog Squadron, joining it during the air battle over Sand Island. He then assisted Blaze, Edge and Chopper multiple time in missions such as the sinking of Scinfaxi, Yuktobanian attack on Osean soil and the defense of November City which resulted in Chopper's death.
Eventually, Archer and the rest of his squadron were branded traitors by the Grey Men's agent Hamilton, and were forced to flee Sand Island. They were picked up by the aircraft carrier OFS Kestrel. They discovered where the Grey Men held President Harling prisoner and rescued him, after which he reorganized them into Wardog Squadron. Archer and his squadmates continued to foil the Grey Men's plans, until finally the leaders of Osea and Yuktobania convinced their troops to unite efforts and attack the conspirators' stronghold. Although the Grey Men were defeated, the SOLG satellite they had hijacked went off the orbit and threatened to crash into the city of Oured. Archer and the Wardog Squadron managed to destroy SOLG before it could happen.
Hans, like the rest of the Squadron, eventually left the air force, but his fate following it remains unknown.
