Aren Kuboyasu is one of the main protagonists from The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. He was raised by his parents who were once part of the biker gang, which led him to become a delinquent at his previous schools. His father was part of a motorcycle gang and his mother was part of a ladies' gang. By the time he transferred to PK Academy, he was reformed and started hanging out with his new friends, including Kusuo, Shun, Riki, and Kineshi.
He was voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya in the Japanese version in the anime, who voices Doppo Kunikida from Bungo Stray Dogs, Fumikage Tokoyami and Dark Shadow from My Hero Academia, Reiner Braun from Attack on Titan, Kiato from Black Clover, and Shirou Oogami from BNA - Brand New Animal, and Jarrod Greene in the English version (Funimation dub), who voices Hitoshi Shinso from My Hero Academia, and later by Kaiji Tang (Netflix dub), who voices Sanemi Shinazugawa from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen, and Osamu Dazai from Bungou Stray Dogs. In the live-action version, he was played by Kento Kaku.
Appearance[]
Aren has a scarred and muscular appearance, as well as having his purple eyes and dark violet hair, styled in a middle part. During his time as a delinquent, he had a very long mullet and a pompadour hairstyle that was dyed blonde. He used to wear his delinquent clothes and a modified school uniform that resembles an over-sized skirt. After his transfer to PK Academy, he started to wear the standard school uniform properly and fake rectangular glasses to make himself look like a normal student without anyone noticing his delinquent past.
Personality[]
Aren has a distinctive delinquent-like personality that describes him as strong and usually getting involved in fights. He easily loses his temper whenever someone is being rude and unpleasant towards him. After moving to PK Academy, in addition, Aren cannot control his own temper and personality by nearly starting to fight or kill anyone around him with an evil expression on his face. On the other hand, he wanted to turn over a new leaf by starting to become a calm and collected individual to his new friends, especially Kusuo, Shun, and the rest of PK Academy (except for Saiko Metori, who often bothers him for his arrogance). Originated from his time as part of a biker gang, Aren has a strong sense of leadership, as displayed during the time he was stuck on a deserted island, along with his friends. Despite his delinquent nature, he is naive and obsessive about having his dream motorbikes, as well as getting his license to drive one.

- His name is an anagram for the Japanese transcription of the English word "clairvoyance" (kureboyansu).
- After receiving a love letter from "Kumiko", he wanted to name his future children after an aquamarine gem: a son named Akua and a daughter named Marin.
- He is best friends with Kaidou Shun and calls him by his first name, indicating a close friendship between them.
- He shares the same middle-part hairstyle, purple eyes, and blood type (A) as Kusuo's grandfather, Saiki Kumagoro.
- His appearance of having his purple middle-parted hair and glasses resembles Ikuno from Darling in the Franxx.
- He is very similar to Makoto Kino/Sailor Jupiter from Sailor Moon.
