Armstrong Houston, also known as just Houston, is a Freelance Bounty Hunter that works for the Galactic Federation. He joins Samus Aran to collect Space Pirate bounties.

Armstrong isn't really seen in the battles against Space Pirates. Samus remarks that all Houston cares about is bounties. Armstrong cheers on Samus while she does all the work. Samus Aran and Armstrong Houston arrive on Zebes. Samus explains the story of the Chozo to Houston. She explains that about her parents, Rodney Aran and Virginia Aran dying in a Space Pirate attack. Old Bird, Gray Voice and Chozo would take care of Samus. Old Bird uses a Power bomb to repair Samus' suit. Old Bird is concerned, but uses it and it ends up working.
