Asaba Harumasa is a major playable character in the 2024 action role-playing game Zenless Zone Zero. He is a member of the Hollow Special Operations Section 6 team.
He is voiced by Xu Xiang in Chinese, Kakihara Tetsuya in Japanese, and Chung Eui-taek in Korean
Appearance[]
Asaba is a tall young man with pale skin, yellow eyes, and messy navy blue hair. Like the rest of his team, he wears a white shirt with a black tie, as well as black pants, a black glove on his left hand and a yellow glove on his right hand, and black shoes with yellow under. The left side of his shoulder has a black gadget with a black sleeve. His accessories include a teal jacket he uses as a cape and a yellow bandana he wears on his head.
Background[]
When he was a boy, Asaba became infected with Ether Aptitude Regression Syndrome, a terminal illness that affected his heart and lungs. He was treated in a special hospital by his parent, who went out to get food but never came back. He was then taken in by his master and his assistant, Kirishima. He would often be given medicine and shots for his illness, unaware that the shots were actually extracting materials from his body to create a booster drug to speed up the same terminal illness others have. When his master was found guilty by the Inquisitors, he fled, leaving Asaba alone. He would eventually join Pub Sect and become a member of Section 6.
Personality[]
On the surface, Asaba is a laid-back individual who gets exhausted a lot. He would constantly ask for days off and vacations, which would often annoy this team.
In battle, he is a serious person who wants the bad guy to be taken down. He has a bitter relationship with Kirishima due to what happened to his master.
Trivia[]
- Asaba shares some similarities with Collei from Genshin Impact:
- Both are bow users.
- Both have terminal illnesses that weren't revealed until much later. (However, Collei's Elezar was later cured.)
- Both are members of heroic organizations. (Forest Watchers and Section 6, respectively)
