Asagi Igawa (井河 アサギ) is the main protagonist from the visual novel Taimanin Asagi, and the Taimanin Asagi animated OVA series.
History[]
Asagi Igawa is the strong leader of Taimanin, a group of Anti-Demon Ninjas. She also poses as the principle of Gosha Academy, and government meditator. She is known to be the most powerful and strong Taimanin ever existed, respected and feared by any foe in her path.
Story[]
Asagi was born into the Igawa clan, her father, Igawa Shuwzen was currently the second leader of the clan at the time. Though her mother died shortly after due to an illness right after she gave birth to Asagi's younger sister, Sakura.
She trained with the talent to use Ninja Arts under the tutage of her father. Her early potential shows that Asagi had the talent and skills to become a very powerful Taimanin in the late era. She was able to become friends with several seniors such as Shiranui, Kuro, her mentor Toyo, and Murasaki, who the later develops a crush on. And she even met and befriends a lesser rank member, Kyosuke, whom she would be engaged years later.
When she was young, Asagi acted arrogant and doesn't trust the two clan members, Igawa and Fuuma, at the time they where ruling Gosha at the time. But once the Fuuma clan became corrupted, the Igawa clan took over and Asagi defeated the Fuuma clan member, Fuuma Danjou, who lead a revolt against their clan in retailation. She also prevented her own clan from taking revenge against the Fuuma clan for their invasion on their village.
After the murder of her father during a revolt in the Igawa clan, Asagi took up the role of leader and with the support of her allies, defeated the Revolt Group, including her grandmother, Igawa Seishu, who was apart of the revolt in the Igawa clan.
After the revolt, Asagi befriended the Koukawa clan. But was betrayed when a revived corpse of their pressumed leader, Oboro, joined a criminal organization led by Nomad and Edwin Black and massacred her own clan, an event known as the ONT Conflict. The Oboro Ninja Troops ambushed and attacked the Tainamin killing nearly all of them. 3 years before "Tainamin Asagi 1", Asagi confronted Oboro and defeated and killed her. After the conflict, Asagi denied become the current Tainamin Captain and retired to live a normal life.

Asagi Igawa spended her time with her childhood friend, Sawaki Kyousuke, living together with her fiance and sister, Sakura. The peaceful lives would come to an end as the "Igawa Elder", informed Asagi that Oboro may be still alive. Asagi and Sakura investigated and learned that Oboro formed and illegal fighting arena, the Chaos Arena. Asagi returned home to find Kyousuke who assumed to start proposing to her. But it was a trap by Oboro who absorbed Kyousuke into her.
After Asagi's capture, it was plotted to have her fight in the Chaos Arena, even to fight against Sakura. Oboro used torture and humiliation in order to break the sisters. Black plans this in order to awaken something inside Asagi as he records the events unfolding, while Oboro desired revenge. Both sisters where forced to kill each other, but where able to trick Oboro by luring her over to the arena and used their Ninja Arts to killed Oboro once more, even with the cost of Kyousuke's life. The sisters escaped and learned that the Elder Igawa was a traitor, who despite his motives, still wished for Asagi to become a Tainamin.
Asagi and Sakura gave up their normal lives and formed the current Tainamin Squad and formed an alliance with Yamamoto Nobushige, the leader of Section Three.

Appearance[]
Asagi has long dark-blue hair with curved bangs with spikey ends and tealed-colored eyes. She has a very voluptuous body with larger than average breasts. She wears her Taimanin battle suit, with the iconic purple color and white lines being her trademark. Later on in recent entries and spin-offs, she also wears a similar suit in white with black lines. This battle suit increases her strength. In RPGX her alternate suit is a more revealing with her thighs, hips and a part of her groin and loins left exposed. (Similar to a V-shaped one-pieced bathing suit.)
Her Demon Form changes her hair white and eyes black with yellow pupils. In TA2 She grows claws, her skin becomes darker and her ears become pointed. Her suit turns black, with purple lines and magenta armor. In TA3 while wearing her white battle suit, her skin turns violet.
Personality[]
Asagi is a mature, confident and serious leader. Who is reserved, focused and strict while keeping a cool mind when comes to missions takes her professionalism seriously. When she was young, she was arrogant due to her overconfidence and uncompromising due to her opposing her unification as a Tainamin and following her own path. But overtime she learned her way around the political world and puts people over rules. Overtime she became more relaxed and less arrogant and rude due to her time with her sister.
Asagi is calm and collected in battle, often taunting her enemies and enjoys fighting, not hesistating to deliver a lethal kill if necessary. But she knows to restrain herself from being more abrasive to her enemies, though she doesn't show it much. Even when captured, Asagi remains calm and iron-willed, no matter the situation.
When off-missions, she is a caring person to her friends, family and students, posing as the motherly figure to her allies and wishes for them to be happy. Asagi once thought to be left alone, so that her relationships would not conflict with her work and for the sake of their safety. Asagi is very insecure about romance and bunch of other explict things. She often tries to hide her embarassment with her stoic and focused professionalism, even when humiliated she tries her best to hide it the best way she could.
If she broke, she'll become more submissive with lewd indecenties. Her Vampire and Demon Forms change her character entirely that they could be considered seperate entities. Vampire Asagi is cruel, arrogant and cold-blooded, seeing humans and Tainamin as food and believes she is above them. While Demon Asagi is far more resentful to humanity and her connections, and be very manipulative and views only itself as a personal interest.
Abilities and Powers[]
Asagi is a strong and powerful Tainamin that existed. Her combat skills, agility, and physical strength are to be feared by all Demons and Ogres as like a monster more than Tainamin. She masters all the fundamentals of her training, while other Tainamin have unique weapon and style, Asagi prefers the regular sword style, but far from unique. In her youth while training she refused to used her sword, but even without it her mastery of martial arts allows to take on any Tainamin and Demon without issue. She is even able to withstand torture that no normal human could outlast with sheer will power, she is able to control parts her body using an aphrodisiac method.
- Ninja Arts: Her Ninja Arts enhance her senses, speed and physical traits in combat, her mastery can become threatining to demonic traits, even against demons who are immortal. She becomes six times more faster than the average speed, likely faster as light.
- Koujinka: Allows Asagi to perceive the world in slow motion, making her act and think faster. While oustide to others she is more faster that they are unable to pick up on her movement speed.
- Satsujinki/Blossom of Light: A more enhanced version of Koujinka. The Slow-down perspective becomes more effective that Asagi creates 5 afterimages of herself, combining for multiple sword slashes, moving as musch faster than the speed of light or even more faster. Using it at full power would be threatening to even noble demons. Her Ninja Arts however wore her out after use and can't use it multiple times due to the effect.
Asagi's sword is her Ninjato blade.The style she uses is simple, but she pushed it to the point where she perfected it in her training, mastering the technique and becoming the expert of this fighting style. with her superhuman speed, her mastered swordsmanhip becomes deadly as she could cut many demons with ease. This in turn makes her one of the most terrifying swordswoman to ever come across.
She uses Taima particles to strengthen her abilities. She can even use it to counter any demon attributes and strenghten the effective damage against demons, destroying their cells.
After her capture by Oboro and Saya, Asagi gains the ability to transform into her Demon Form. The form grants her more enhanced physical strength and endurance than before. If she isn't careful, the Alter-Ego would take over the mind and control her body. Though she has learned to control the transformation when she uses it.
