The Elder Naganadel and Ash's one have a mentor-pupil relationship . Both of them seemed to have established a strong bond with each other, due to Poipole great pleasure in seeing Naganadel again in "The Prism Between Light and Darkness!". Naganadel revealed to have entrusted Ash's Poipole to find a place that flourished with light, as the elder had fallen into old age, showing how much trust they had for Poipole, giving it a possibly dauting task to complete . In "The Prism Between Light and Darkness!", after the elder fell in exhaustion, Poipole was the first to check on its condition, worried about its strength due to its age. When the Ultra Guardians were checking its health, Poipole encouraged Naganadel to eat Mallow's Sitrus Berries, and they listened after the encouragement. Naganadel also listened to Poipole when it asked to provide an explanation to the Ultra Guardians about Necrozma.
