Palpitoad is a Water/Ground type Pokémon from the fifth generation of Pokémon. It evolves from Tympole at Level 25, but later evolves into Seismitoad at Level 36.

Palpitoad is a Pokémon caught by Ash Ketchum in the Unova region.
Palpitoad partook in several battles for Ash. He defeated Burgundy's Stoutland during a tournament and defeated a Darumaka in the same competition. Ash then used him in a gym battle against Elesa where he defeated her Zebstrika but was defeated himself by Elesa's Emolga.
He was later used in another gym battle against Roxie where he quickly lost against Roxie's Garbodor. In the League he was used in Ash's battle against Stephan and managed to defeat Stephan's Zebstrika although he was defeated too.
Trivia[]
- Palpitoad is the sixth Water-type Pokemon that Ash owned that never fully evolved (alongside Squirtle, Totodile, Corphish, Buizel and Oshawott).
- Many fans initially overpraised Ash's Palpitoad as a strong cute mid-stage Water-type who does not need to evolve to become strong. But due to his low screentime, in favor of Oshawott, who also never evolved, the "Ash's cute non fully evolved Water-type" premise ended up becoming universally hated by fans.
- Because of Palpitoad's mishandling, many fans now feel that Seismitoad suits Ash more.
